Diksha Portal
• The Union Ministry of Human Resource and Development (HRD) has launched Diksha Portal (diksha.gov.in) for providing digital platform to teacher to make their lifestyle more digital.
• Launched on 5th sept. 2017
• This portal will provide offline/online training for teachers, student teachers and teacher educator.
• Under this digital platform, teachers will be able to access and create high-quality teaching, learning and assessment resources for all subjects and levels in all Indian languages.
• Teachers will be reputed by Badges and Certificates after training. Diksha will play the main role for teachers empowerment.
• Diksha will keep secure teacher’s achievements from TEI admission to retirement.
• On this portal, teachers can make content and share with each other.
• Government, private institutes and NGO’s also can participate in the Diksha initiative....
Hortinet • APEDA has developed a mobile app- Hortinet- to allow farmers to
apply on-line to facilitate their farm registration, tracking the status of
application & approvals by State Government and Lab sampling by
authorised Laboratories.
• The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development
Authority (APEDA) was established by the Government of India
under the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export
Development Authority Act 1985.
• Hortinet is an integrated traceability system developed by
APEDA for providing Internet based electronic services to the
stakeholders for facilitating farm registration, testing and
certification of Grape, Pomegranate and Vegetables for export
from India to the European Union in compliance with
standards.
• Allow farmers to apply on-line to facilitate their farm
registration, tracking the status of application & approvals by
State Government and Lab sampling by authorized
Laboratories.
• This new Mobile app will also assist State Horticulture/
Agriculture Department to capture real time details of farmers,
farm location, products and details of inspections like date of
inspection, name of inspecting directly from field.

Sagar Vani:An Integrated Information Dissemination System
• Sagar Vani is an integrated information dissemination system that will serve the coastal community, especially the fishermen community with the advisories and alerts towards their livelihood as well as their safety at Sea.
• Minister of Science & Technology, Earth Sciences and Environment, Forests & Climate Change, Dr. Harshvardhan launched an app “Sagar Vani” on the occasion of Foundation Day of Ministry of Earth Sciences in New Delhi

• It includes Multi Lingual SMS, Voice Call / Audio Advisory, Mobile
Apps (User / Admin modules), Social Media (Facebook, Twitter,
etc.), Email, GTS, Fax, Digital Display Boards, Radio / Television
broadcast units, IVRS, Cloud Channels, etc.
• The system also has facility to provide access to various
stakeholders (NGOs, State Fishery Departments, Disaster
Management Authorities, etc.) so that they too will be able to further
disseminate these ocean information and alerts to the user
community.

With a view to give substantial boost to the innovation ecosystem and to catalyse the
entrepreneurial spirit in the country, Finance Minister in his Budget Speech 2015-16
announced the Government's intention to establish the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM)
• Mentor India is as a strategic nation building initiative to engage leaders who can guide and mentor schools students in Atal Tinkering Labs (ATL) established by AIM in schools across India
• Through Mentor India, AIM is looking to engage leaders who can dedicate 1 – 2 hours every week in one or more such labs and enable school students to experience, learn and practice future skills such as design and computational thinking
• Envisaged to be the largest formal volunteer mentor network, it is aimed at maximizing the impact of ATLs
• AIM is looking for corporates / professionals / academicians / students etc. who are keen to contribute to this strategic nation building initiative

ATLs are dedicated works spaces where students (from Class 6th to Class 12th) learn innovation skills and develop ideas that will go on to transform India
YUVA – a skill development programme
• By :Ministry of Skill Development
and Entrepreneurship for the YUVA project.
• The ‘YUVA’ initiative by Delhi Police aims to connect with youth by upgrading their skill as per their competencies
• It will help them to get a gainful employment under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna under the Ministry of Skill Development

Swachh Bharat Hackathon • Swachhathon 1.0, the first ever Swachh Bharat Hackathon, was
organized by the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation.
• It is organised to crowd source solutions to some of the Sanitation and Hygiene challenges faced in various parts of the country.
• It invited innovators from schools and colleges, institutions, start-ups and others to come up with solutions for problems like monitoring usage of toilets, triggering behaviour change, Solution for early decomposition of faecal matter, toilet technologies in difficult terrains etc.
• The hackathon was open for all (including international entries), and was hosted on the innovate.mygov.in portal.
