FLATLINER SIX Congratulations with the purchase of the FLATLINER SIX power

supply.

The FLATLINER SIX is a powerful, reliable and versatile power

supply for guitar and bass effects. Unlike many other power

supplies all FLATLINERS use toroidal transformers and have all

isolated outlets to guarantee HUMless operation and let you run -

and + pedals at the same time.

The FLATLINER SIX is designed to fit effectpedals that need 9, 15,

12, 18 or 24VDC.

NOTE !

Please read this manual before using your FLATLINER SIX for the

first time, to prevent damage to the FLATLINER SIX or your pedals

due to improper usage!

Ready for useAll 9 outputs can operate simultaneously, without hum, noise or

danger of overheating.

The FLATLINER SIX is designed for use on pedalboards and is

compact, rugged and indestructable built to guarantee many, many

years of carefree and safe power. With the FLATLINER SIX you have

a well-organized and reliable setup ready for the wildest

performances.

Power features

- 6 isolated and regulated outputs short-circuit protected

- All outputs are adjustable to 9, 12, 15, 18VDC @ 100mA

Setting up/Choosing the right voltageBe sure of the voltage your effects require. Most battery operating

effects will need 9VDC, center -. To set up simply turn the pot clockwise

to the right voltage value, clockwise 9, 12 , 15 or 18 VDC.

ConnectingAll FLATLINER connectors and standard cables are of the size 2.1 x 5.5

mm unless indicated.

Some effects however require different connectors like a 3.5 mm

phoneplug or 2.5 x 5.5 mm barrel. See our webshop at www.burkey.nl

for these cables or ask your dealer for the right cable and connector.

PolarityThe polarity of the DC-outputs is center-negative which is

standard for effectpedals.

Some pedals have reversed polarity (Fulltone '69,Line 6, Octafuzz, some

EHX). To prevent damage to your pedals it is important to check the

polarity of the input jack of the pedal. If you need more cables you can

order them at our website (www.burkey.nl).

Standard 9VDC The FLATLINER SIX has 6 DC outputs for the use of 5.5x2.1 mm

barrel connectors (Boss-type). These are standard connectors

which fit most common effectpedals. The Line 6 modelling pedals

can be powered through the 9V (MM4, FM4) or 12VDC (DM4,DL4)

outputs. Since these effects draw more current (150-185 mA) than

average you can connect one effect to 2 outputs in parallel mode.

The FLATLINER SIX can power several Line 6 effects simultanously.

Note: Line 6 modelling pedals outputs are reversed polarity (center

positive). See the 'specials' list on www.burkey.nl for more

information about non-standard power requirements.

9, 12, 15, 18 VDCSome effects need higher voltages. Examples are: Boss ACA-type

effects, made before august 1997, need 12VDC for proper

functioning. You can connect these effects to any of the 6 outputs

of the FLATLINER SIX. Just turn the pots to the right value and the

SIX is ready to run your pedal.

24VDC Because all outputs are isolated it is possible to join two 9VDC or

12 VDC outputs in a serial connection to double the voltages to 24

VDC. (you need cable SC-YS Green)

200, 300, 400...... mAFor pedals that need over 100mA current you can make a parallel

connection (Cable SC-YP Blue or reversed daisy chain) between 2

equal DC outlets to double the current to 200mA or higher.

FUSESYour FLATLINER SIX is protected against overheating and has a

short-circuit protection. This protection ensures that your

expensive effectpedals will be powered safely.

When you need to change a fuse just gently push and turn the

fuseholder left to open. Be sure to replace the same type fuse.

Mounting your SIXYour SIX will be delivered with a neoprene floor plate like most

effect pedals have. If you want to mount the SIX firmly on your

pedalboard we recommend to use 3M Dual Lock.
