FIRST LADIES’
RETREAT
FEB. 27 & 28
2015
I’ve started journaling (again) and several days ago I was looking at the blank page of
my journal. I thought every day is like this page. It is a blank page for the Lord to
write on if I allow Him. Will I allow Him to write or will I try to take the pen and write
for Him? Do I give Him an outline and ask Him to fill in the details or do I try to do
that also? My mind started racing from all I thought I needed to do that day and the
possible scenarios that could come in each circumstance. How different would it look
if I asked God to be in that appointment with me? Would I have more “divine”
appointments? Lord, I pray I will glorify you in my actions as I walk through each
day. I pray I will give up the pen and let you write the schedule and I will be flexible
to really listen when others talk or when you need me to be Your hands.
Psalm 46:10 says, “Be still and know that I am GOD”. GOD is the author of my life if I
will only turn over the pen!

LOL—Loving Our Ladies Jane Crownover
FIRST Ladies’ ministry team, “Loving Our Ladies”, or LOL, is a ministry that reaches
out to those ladies who have given so much of their lives to our church. Some of
these ladies are unable to attend church any longer because of illness, age or other
circumstances. Jane Crownover is leading this ministry team to see that these ladies
are visited on behalf of First Baptist Church and FIRST Ladies. If you have an
interest in helping in this area, please contact Jane. We will be highlighting one of
the ladies in our newsletter each quarter so everyone will get a chance to meet the
ones who have left us a legacy of love, faithfulness and commitment.

LADIES NEEDED to A.S.A.P. (always say a prayer)!!!
If you are female, then you are qualified to be a member of the FIRST Ladies’ Prayer Team, and your only responsibility will be to talk with God. These conversations can be silent, audible, private or public, but you must be committed to having these conversations with God frequently. We are always looking for new members for the Prayer Team, and would love for all ladies of First Baptist to be active in praying for each other, for our church, for our community, and for our country. If you are interested in being on our list of Prayer Team members, please forward your name and e-mail address to us at [email protected] or [email protected].
