DescriptionThe STSW-AEKBLE firmware is designed to demonstrate the AEK-COM-BLEV1evaluation board functionality using the BLE Scanner or similar app from GooglePlay.
The app sends commands to an AEK-COM-BLEV1 board when connected to anAEK-MCU-C4MLIT1 board running appropriate firmware which is downloaded usingthe SPC5-UDESTK-SW software package.
The firmware source code is available in the STSW-AUTODEVKIT (version 1.1.0 orhigher).

1 How to use the BLE Scanner app
Follow the procedure below to evaluate the functionality of the AEK-COM-BLEV1 board functionality.
Step 1. Use the SPC5-UDESTK-SW software to download STSW-AEKBLE onto the AEK-MCU-C4MLIT1microcontroller (SPC58EC80E5)
Step 2. Use the wiring scheme in the following table to connect the AEK-MCU-C4MLI1T and AEK-COM-BLEV1 evaluation boards.

Step 5. Launch the app, search for [BLE_Device] and press [CONNECT]

Step 6. Expand the [GENERIC ACCESS] section and press [W] in the [DEVICE NAME] subsection

Step 7. Write the value “1” and press [OK].This numeric value is associated with a command sent via Bluetooth, which is received and decodedby the AEK-MCU-C4MLIT1 board. This command turns off LED LD9.

Step 8. Write the value "2" to turn the LED on again.
