V. TRAVEL INFORMATION

Arrival / Departure:

All participants will travel individually to Berlin or Rostock/ Laage, Germany. The organizing committee will provide transport from Berlin Airport to Rostock and Rostock/Laage will bear all cost.(one group per country) In case the arrival and departure times of team members will vary and additional transport is needed, the respective team will bear the extra cost. Please advise that judges should travel with their team, otherwise additional costs will occur on arrival and departure.

The prices include hotel, all meals and local transportation to and from the airport and pool. The

organizing committee is in charge of all hotel reservations. Bookings via the office only.

VIII. COMPETITION FORMAT

Individual events

The FINA Diving Grand Prix 2020 will be run according to the tournament format.

Preliminaries

The top 12 divers advance to the Semi-Finals (Groups A and B).

Semi-Finals

Group A 12 – 10 – 8 – 6 – 4 – 2

Group B 11 – 9 – 7 – 5 – 3 – 1

Finals

The top 3 divers from Groups A and B advance to the Finals (total of 6 divers in Final).

Replacement of injured diver

In the case of an injury following the Preliminary competition, the next qualified diver will take the place.

In the case of an injury following the Semi A or Semi B, the next qualified diver of the same Semi-final

will take the place.

Dives

Men's individual events - 3m and 10m 6 dives without limit

Women's individual events - 3m and 10m 5 dives without limit

Synchronised diving events

There will be only Finals competition.

Men's synchro events - 3m and 10m 2 dives with limit +

4 dives without limit

XI. GRAND PRIX COMPETITION RULES

Conditions of Entry

The FINA Diving Grand Prix (“DGP”) shall be open to all FINA affiliated Federations.

Entries of divers in the FINA Diving Grand Prix shall be accepted only from the Federations,

Members of FINA.

The maximum number of divers who can participate in an individual DGP event is four (4).

Any Federation with more than two divers in an event may be permitted to advance to the semi-

finals only the top two (2) performers in that event.

The Host Federation may enter two (2) teams in the direct final of a synchro event but only the

best team may proceed to the podium.

No additional divers or teams may participate in a DGP meet, other than those specified in the

Rules & Regulations. There will be no opportunity for exhibition places.

Prize Money

The winner of each discipline will be awarded a special prize. All divers placed 1 to 6 will receive certificates.

The winner, second and third place receive prize money. In women’s and men's springboard-3m, platform diving, synchronized diving and mixed

diving.

Winner EURO 1.000,- 2nd place EURO 500,- 3rd place EURO 250,-

Rules

All events shall be conducted in accordance with the FINA Rules, which can be found on the

FINA Website (www.fina.org – about FINA – Rules).

Judges

A Federation taking part in a FINA DGP with a team of four (4) or more divers must provide a

judge.

The judge might, however, also serve as a coach provided that this is not for an event where

he/she is judging.

A Federation that does not bring a judge will be fined 250 Swiss Francs payable to FINA.

XII. ORGANISERS SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS

Conditions of entry

Teams can enter maximum of 4 divers who can participate in an individual events.

The technical meeting will take place at the InterCityHotel on Wednesday February, 19th

2020 at 5:00 PM

XIII. ACCREDITATION

Accreditation cards will be issued upon teams’ arrival. The list of accredited persons is based on the final entry forms.

XIV. DOPING

Doping control will be conducted accordance with FINA rules.

XV. MEDICAL CARE, LIFEGUARDS

A safety rehearsal will take place near the swimming pool on Tuesday 20th, 2020 by expert lifeguards. An emergency doctor will be available above the technical podium during all competitions. Lifeguards will be available during training sessions and competitions next to our synchro springboards.

XVI. RESULTS

Following each session the results (preliminary results, semi-final results and final results) have to be sent immediately to [email protected].

Right after the conclusion of the event, the Host has to provide an electronic XML file to the FINA Delegate and to FINA ([email protected]). This file should contain the detailed results including judge’s scores for each dive.
