Ingredients Cookies
3/4 stick butter, melted
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup colorful sprinkles
Instructions Make the cookies
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Whisk together the flour, brown sugar, baking soda and salt in a medium mixing bowl.
Add melted butter, egg and vanilla to the flour mixture and mix until a dough is formed and all dry ingredients are incorporated
Mix in sprinkles until all ingredients are well combined
Form Tablespoon size balls and place on a greased cookie sheet or use a cookie scoop.
Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes.
Carefully remove and cool completely. Make the icing
Combine confectioners sugar, egg whites, cream of tartar and vanilla in a small mixing bowl until icing is formed.
Transfer to a ziplock bag until ready to use. Decorate
Snip a very small corner off the ziplock bag and squeeze a ring of icing around the edge of a cookie. Dip in nonpareils.
Squeeze another dot of icing in the middle of each cookie and place a candy dot.
We recommend decorating one cookie at a time since the icing will dry very quickly!
