Principles of force transmission
Vertical forces: from the body to
the bogie frame through the secondary suspension springs; from the bogie frame to the axles through the primary suspension springs and frame - axle bearing control arm.
Lateral forces: from the body to
the bogie frame through the secondary suspension springs; from the bogie frame to the axles through the elastic elements of the frame - axle bearing control arm.
Longitudinal traction efforts and braking powers:
from the body to bogie frame through the traction centre rods and the traction lever; from the bogie frame to the axles through the frame - axle bearing control arm.
Curve negotiation:
An articulated control arm is connecting axle bearing and side frame through elastic connection, which will provide flexibility between axle and side frame.
Suspension elements:
Primary suspension consists of nested inner and outer springs, dampers, top rubber pad
secondary suspension consists of nested flexi-coils springs (inner and outer springs),rubber spring, vertical dampers, lateral dampers, anti-roll bars, anchor links.
Secondary rubber pad is inserted below and above secondary springs provides flexible ends of springs.
On the bogie each axle is fitted with two brake disks (4), diameter 640 mm and width 110 mm.
In built slack adjusting facilities in brake cylinder fitted.
Two wheel disc of tread dia 915 (New), 845 (worn).
Wheel and Axles
A taper roller cartridge type bearing is used.
It is a pre-assembled unit not required any further intervention, such as clearance adjustments.
The axle bearings on the bogie are fitted with sensors for detecting speed

BOGIE FRAME The bogie frame is a solid welded frame made by
steel sheets and forged or cast parts. The frame is made up of two longitudinal components connected by two cross-beams (2) which also support the brake units. The various supports which connect the different bogie components are welded to theframe.
The bogie frame rests on the primary suspension spring units and supports the vehicle body by means of a bolster beam. The bolster beam is connected to the bogie frame by secondary suspension.

damper, An articulated control arm fitted with twin-layer elastic joints connecting the axle bearing to the bogie frame
