Spring 2014 Job Fairs
The Testing Center now offers
a revised GSP exam called the
Punctuation, Usage, and Grammar
(PUG) Test. Also, please remember
that students have the option to take
MC 1100B at the RRC in place of the
exam. Note: you must earn a C or
higher for this class to count in place of
the exam.
Please be aware of the following
changes:
The test will still cover Grammar and
Punctuation, but usage replaces
spelling.
The test has been reduced to 50
questions, so the time has been
reduced to 45 minutes.
The test will be administered in a
pencil and paper (test and scantron)
format for the spring semester. Over
the summer it will be programmed on
the computer.
Test results will be available the next
business day in the School of
Journalism and Mass
Communication office, Old Main 102.
Students may not receive subsection
scores until the test is programmed
on the computer.
The Writing Center, SLAC and the
Testing Center are updating their
resources to reflect this.
Attention CS students: CS 2318 (Assembly Language) will
be offered at the RRC in the near future. Students no
longer need to complete this course through Austin
Community College (COSC 2425 at ACC). Contact your
academic advisor, Rachel Trembley, [email protected]
