ADULT RECREATION
Zumba is a Latin-inspired fitness program. The class has easy to follow steps with no verbal cues, allow-
ing you to enjoy the music as you follow the instructor. No dance experience necessary. Be prepared to
smile and sweat. Dress in comfortable workout clothes and shoes. Bring a towel and bottle of water.
Wednesdays, 5:34-6:45 PM.

Learn this fun trade over a 4 week course. No equipment needed. The course is designed to teach the basic
techniques, such as making patterns and shading. Participants will then choose their project (set of coasters,
wood plaque, frame, etc.). At the end of the class, take home your creation, and even purchase a wood burning
tool for a discounted price to continue burning at home! Kids are welcome to join with a
parent. *Bring your own tool and pay only $25*

PLAY PICKLEBALL! Try out Pickleball with our Winter Pickleball group! All equipment is provided for new players. With our punch
cards, you can play as often or as little as you’d like (although most players can’t get enough). Drop in style. Regis-
ter and obtain your punch cards in the recreation office.

Krav Maga: This course will strengthen your body, sharpen your mind, and raise confidence! Krav Maga is the official hand -to-hand combat
system of the Israeli Defense Forces. Krav Maga is widely regarded as the best self-defense because it teaches efficiency, no-nonsense tactics,
and practical movements that can benefit you if ever put in a uncomfortable situation. Ages 18+
Tuesdays, 7:00-7:45 PM 10/3, 10/10, & 10/17
Cardio Kick-Fit: This fitness class is great for self-defense, cardio, and muscle toning. Students will transition through stations. All fitness levels
welcome. Designed for men and women 15+.

LACROSSE CAMP— $17
This “try-it” class will reinforce the skills needed to excel in lacrosse by incorporating full drills and scrimmages. All skill levels welcome. All equip-
ment will be provided. The class is taught by Emily Reverman, a 2016 alumna of Alma College Women’s Lacrosse Team, and assistant coach of
Grand Canyon University’s back to back WWLL D2 champions.
January 2, 1-4 PM. Ideal for grades 3 –6. Held at the Park Township Community Building, 1286 Ottawa Beach Rd.

Learn the fundamentals and other secrets to becoming a great artist!
While learning to paint things in nature, students will develop the skill
of becoming observant of what they see. Students will get to explore
art techniques by drawing with pencil, oil pastels, and by painting with acrylics on canvas. Supplies are included. Class also includes a Boys and Girls
Club membership, which will allow your child to participate in BGC activities! 15 student max.

Charming Mothers and Delightful Daughters- $59 (includes meal and instruction). Ideal for girls 8-12, with mother or grand-
mother. Enjoy an afternoon designed to create a lovely experience for both mothers and daughters. Learn social graces, proper
etiquette for any situation, fun tips, and dining rules. Dress code: slacks, dress, or skirt. Please no jeans, tennis shoes or t-shirts.

Fine young MANners and Moms- $59 (includes meal and instruction). Ideal for boys ages 8-12, with mother or mother-
figure. Experience an unforgettable day with your son! Learn etiquette in a fun, engaging way. Mothers will assist sons in a
variety of skills. Give yourself and son the gift of a lifetime, and equip him to be a confident leader and fine young gentle-

In this class, children and caregivers explore the universal language of music. Early exposure to music positive-
ly impacts children’s cognitive, social and emotional development. Class instructor Rebecca Wierks has a bach-
elor’s degree is music, has taught Kindermusik, as well as private lessons. Come sing, dance, and play in this
nurturing environment. Maximum of 11 students, minimum of 4. Ideal for ages 6 mo-5 years .

The night sky
An all-ages program that the whole family can enjoy. Join us for a planetarium tour to learn about Autumn
constellations. We will reveal myths, legends, and identify which planets are visible in the West Michigan skies. $5 for
individual, and only $10 for the entire family! When registering online, please only register head of household.

9/5: Wetland Hike @ Stu Visser Trails
Explore the wetlands and Pine Creek at Stu Visser Trails with a naturalist in search of insects, fish, and
crustaceans! Expect to walk into the water with shoes or boots. No bare feet or open-toed shoes.
Meet at the parking lot off Ottawa Beach Rd. All materials will be provided. September 5th - 10:30-

10/17: Guided Nature Walk @ Keppel Forest
Come take a walk through the woods and enjoy the beautiful colors of fall. A naturalist will
guide the group and discuss wildlife activity in fall and what's happening to the leaves. Only
