The success of the Aduno Group is based on a business model, a solid share-holder base, the innovative capacity of about 750 employees and a commit-ment to society.
A secure shareholder base
Since it was founded in 1999, the Aduno Group has been
wholly owned by the cantonal banks, the Raiffeisen Group,
Migros Bank, Bank Cler and various regional banks. And
that is not about to change as the current shareholders’
agreement guarantees security and continuity.
One of the Aduno Group’s aims is to generate a high level
of sustainable profitability, thereby ensuring entrepreneuri-
al freedom. Thanks to the stakeholders’ long-term strategy,
the Aduno Group boasts a solid equity ratio.

The Payment business includes Issuing with Viseca Card Services SA, one of Switzerland’s largest issuers of payment cards (credit, debit, prepaid) from Mas-tercard® and Visa with around 1.5 million cards.
Simply digital: VisecaOne
Every year, more and more customers place their trust in Viseca. They rely on a fair and secure partner offering them all the advantages of cashless payment thanks to cutting-edge technology. Moreover, they appreciate the extensive range of services which they can use around the world.
VisecaOne is a free service that makes online shop-
ping and payment even more secure and convenient
while summarising all the information relating to a card.
Following the one-off registration during which all cards
registered to the same name are automatically linked to the
VisecaOne account, 3-D Secure card payments in online
shops can be controlled and authorised via the VisecaOne
app. Cardholders no longer need to memorise a password
and simply confirm or reject an incoming message in the
VisecaOne app with a single click. Another advantage of
VisecaOne is that transactions, the rewards programme
and account settings can be managed in a single location.
Mobile payment with a flick of the wrist
The trend of shifting to mobile terminals is becoming visi-
bly stronger in the online trading sector. Viseca offers con-
tactless payments with smartwatches, which are equipped
with payment functions, which allow Viseca private card-
holders to pay contactless not only in Switzerland but all
around the world. The mobile payment solutions offer fit-
ness enthusiasts the ability to make their purchases with
a flick of the wrist, without needing a wallet or a smart-
phone, wherever contactless payment is possible by Near

Field Communication (NFC). Customers only need a pay-
ment card from Viseca and VisecaOne.

Thanks to the rewards programme surprize, there are good

The Aduno Group, as a technological leader, develops innovative and sus-tainable solutions in the field of cashless payment. In doing so, it calls on a digitised best-in-class service. This is based on Mastercard® and Visa, is compatible with the partner banks and, more particularly, is very customer-friendly and secure.
For more than 15 years, the Aduno Group has succeed-
ed in promoting cashless payment by means of pioneering
products and services. It quickly understood that digital
payment is not a revolution but a logical continuation of
the original credit card business using digital technologies.
Smart digital payment solution for Switzerland: SwissWallet
The Aduno Group, Netcetera and Swisscard have found-
ed the joint venture SwissWallet AG to develop and op-
erate digital payment solutions. SwissWallet provides the
technology for the innovative Swiss payment standard for
e-commerce and m-commerce. Combined with Master-
pass, the digital payment solution from Mastercard, this
service can be used for online shopping purposes on all
tablets and smartphones.
At the checkout, only a few clicks or taps of the finger are
required as all the information needed to make the pur-
chase is securely stored. All card information is always up
to date and does not need to be entered when shopping.
The transaction process is significantly accelerated and the
discontinuation rate minimised.

Using data to the benefit of everyone
The Aduno Group is ideally positioned for the digital fu-
ture: it aims to provide more than two million customers in
Switzerland with a simple and secure cashless payment
solution as well as private financing in the event of guar-
anteed liquidity. The Aduno Group is an issuer while also
providing personal credit, leasing and rental deposit guar-
antees. The data obtained throughout the broad-based
value-added chain is systematically analysed and pro-
cessed. It forms the basis for information services which
are constantly being extended. With data analytics, which
forms a link between all business units, the Aduno Group

The services of data analytics extend into Personal Finance
Management (PFM), which is made possible by the Aduno

Thanks to the densest distribution network with seven of its own branches, 1,600 in-bank points of sale for personal loans and over 1,600 partner garages for car leasing, the specialist for fair finance offers greater proximity to the customer than any other providers. cashgate is exclusive partner to renowned Swiss banks and is the first port of call for customer-focused finance. The Customer Finance division also includes the provision of rental deposit guarantees.
There are a variety of reasons why customers decide to
obtain personal credit from cashgate. First among them is
their confidence that cashgate is discreet and safeguards
the interests of its customers – for a carefree future. And
cashgate is, of course, always there to advise its custom-
ers, from the initial contact through to the final payment,
including in the event of payment difficulties arising.
The lending criteria applied by cashgate are even more
stringent than those required by law. That is because
cashgate is dedicated to responsible lending. A pricing
model with fixed interest rates takes account of customers’
individual risk profiles and is communicated transparently.

The Aduno Group makes every effort to limit the risks to a strict minimum for credit card transactions using cards or smartphones and for on-line activities of any kind. These efforts have been instrumental in helping to reduce the number of claims substan-tially in recent years and to keep them at a low level.
Digital search for clues
To safeguard the security of credit card transactions, the
Aduno Group uses modern and intelligent systems that
can recognise fraud attempts in real time or prevent them
from occurring in the first place. Among other things, com-
prehensive analyses of real patterns of fraud make these
systems possible. In every transaction, sophisticated soft-
ware examines the probability of abuse based on current
risk profiles. The system sets off an alarm as soon as ab-
normalities are detected in the handling of a transaction.
The experts from the fraud department analyse critical
situations with the assistance of software-based security
systems. The interplay of experience and technology re-
sults in a quick decision as to whether a transaction should
be allowed or blocked. The service is provided as quietly
and discreetly as possible in the background and the card-
holder is only contacted directly in the case of doubt.
Minimising risks
Risk management plays a very important role in the credit
environment. Credit, leasing and card applications are sys-
tematically subjected to a creditworthiness check. To ob-
tain adequate risk assessments, methods are implemented
which make it possible to predict future events with a high
degree of reliability. Predictive modelling techniques based
on application and behavioural data are combined with in-
formation from economic credit agencies and the Central
Office for Credit Information (ZEK) to develop meaningful
risk profiles and robust credit default predictions. In the
end, they decide about card applications and spending lim-
its as well as about granting credit to private individuals or
leasing financing.
At cashgate, these checks are stricter than those prescribed
by law. This protects borrowers from over-indebtedness. In
addition, only persons over the age of 20 can receive a loan
from cashgate. The maximum credit amounts are limited
according to age. The cautious risk policy has allowed the
loss rate to be steadily reduced over the years.
