• This new take on the classic clay house design was created by the Colombian architect Octavio Mendoza
• Using adobe (clay) blocks, the house is fired to a high heat until it becomes ceramic
• Its unusual structure is only one of its amazing features: it is entirely water-resistant, earthquake-proof and changes temperature to combat the heat or cold

• This colourful building is the centre of audio-visual productions in the Dutch language
• Built by Willem Jan Neutelings and Michiel Riedijk, the building features 748 amazing glass squares which feature a televised image from the archive housed within, creating a stained-glass effect

Hallgrímskirkja, Iceland
• Hallgrímskirkja, or the church of Hallgrímur, is situated in Reykjavík
• It is 73 metres tall and took 38 years to build• Architect Guðjón Samúelsson designed it to
reflect the lava flows of basalt found in the country
• It takes influence from the expressionist architecture found in Denmark

Cube House, Netherlands
• Architect Piet Blom’s aim was to provide more housing space in an area populated densely with buildings
• The cubes are tilted to a 45 degree angle, with support from a pylon shaped like a hexagon
• Each cube has three floors, and have about 75 square metres of habitable space inside
