EVALUATION 2: HOW DOES YOUR MEDIA PRODUCT REPRESENT PARTICULAR SOCIAL GROUPS?
The imitation of the magazine shows that it’s a
gothic genre based magazine from the Mise en
scene used for example the black clothing and the
eye make up. The front cover target audience is females. The structure of
my model Kayla represents to be part of a indie genre.
DOMINATE REPRESENTATION
ALTERNATIVE REPRESENTATION
The chosen age range for my music magazine is between 16-24. I have found out the age range to do precisely through my research, asking my target audience what age range are people likely to read.
My magazine has represented a indie music magazine, apart from the colours I
have used which
i changed as I wanted to give it a Goth theme. The language I have used in my magazine is stereotypically for students aged 16-26 as I have used bold and eye catching colours to attract the readers.

My magazine stereotypically represents an audience of middle class. I recon its for a
middle class as I have made the magazine to a affordable price for a middle class audience. Someone from a lower class are unlikely to buy the magazine due t the price or don’t consider them self to like magazines. Also
people from lower class don’t enjoy indie type of music as they haven't ever herd it as they
stick to mainstream on TV or radio.
CLASS
My media magazine will represent all social groups who enjoys indie music. I think more female will appeal to this magazine due to the feminie artist
presented in the magazine, but there are a few boy bands which men might spot out
and end up buying it.
SOCIAL GROUPS
The colour schemes I have chosen are very bright therefore it may appeal to
female more, but men my be attracted to the model and knowing its part of a
genre they enjoy likely to purchase the item. You'll be able to see the different type of colours I have used in the next
slide.
