I started the business in 2009 and have now taken on a second driver, with a third starting in the New Year.
Sussex County Council and Saga Travel are just two of our regular clients.

Below is an email I received in November 2011.
Hello David.
Finally home in the USA, but I do miss England very much indeed.
This is the second time I have used your wonderful cab services. Last year in summer and once again this year.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for everything you have done to help make things easier for me, during my stay in the UK.
Picking me up from Heathrow airport and driving me to Worthing, the one-day lovely trip to London and all the sightseeing that went with it, and last but not least my departure from Worthing towards France. The ride on the Eurostar, the arrival in France and the drive thereon towards Brussels - passing through Dunkirk and all those lovely French towns.
What can I say , you are indeed the perfect professional - always dependable, a very safe driver (by the way the car is so comfortable too)courteous in all your dealings, well - the whole works. I really appreciated your cab service and will always call upon you when I come to the UK for more trips.
I will also be sure to give your information to all my friends coming to England - so they too can enjoy the comfort and great cab services that you offer to your customers. With such service, your company will indeed go far, achieving superior ratings.
Take care, and once again thank you for everything.

Happy New Year Worthing! What an exciting year 2012 is going to be, with lots of events and attractions in the town. We have already started with the Ice Rink in Steyne Gardens proving to be huge fun. This initiative shows good partnership working with Worthing Borough Council and the Town Centre Initiative jointly funding the project. You still have time to beat the Mayor’s record of 12 minutes before she fell over, get your skates on before January 8th!!
2012 is Olympic year and Worthing has been included in the celebrations. The Olympic torch will pass through Worthing on Monday July 16 as the torch makes its way from Portsmouth to Brighton. The runners of the relay for the area will be revealed in the coming months. It is a huge honour that the torch is coming through the town, It will bring a sense of excitement about the Games to Worthing and it also celebrates all the great athletes we have here. I hope the whole of Worthing will come out to celebrate this event. I’m calling to all the schools to let their children off for an hour on the day so they can come down and help cheer the torch along.
And don’t forget The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee on June 2nd this year with lots of events and street parties planned all over the town. If you
haven’t already got involved, you still have time. The 16th June will see a Diamond Jubilee Celebration all along the promenade from Worthing pier to George v Ave, an event for the whole town to join in!!
There’s lots to look forward to and I hope everyone in the town has a very happy and prosperous new year!

It is strictly for fun, learn to dance with Lisa
Let’s danceStep into a new routine this January with dance classes. This delightful activity entertains, improves fitness levels and chases away the blues.
Dance lessons can focus on acquiring the skills to master the classics: Cha-cha, Salsa, Bollywood and Musical Theatre or on improving general fitness. Strictly Dancing offers both and you don’t even need a partner, since steps are learned in a line formation.
Classes are available locally at times to suit your life-style from £5.50 per hour or less for block bookings.
This New Year, Strictly Dancing with Lisa is offering 2 for 1 for all newcomers who bring a copy of her advert. So what are you waiting for? There’s never been a better time to come dancing.
If you would like further information and details on this offer, simply view Lisa’s website on www.strictlydancingwithlisa.co.uk or get in touch. Call Lisa on 07939 248871 or email [email protected]

The Shape of Things to ComeEW talks to Bodyshapers of Lancing
The decorations are all packed away and, aside from a few rogue pine needles, all that’s left to remind us of Christmas is the slightly uncomfortable pinch of our waistband. We dutifully add slimming to our list of resolutions. But will we be able to make our goals a reality?
Members of BodyShapers know so. They have shared with us some of their success stories demonstrating that with a little dedication, lots of support and the right environment, you can get the body you desire and more.
Tracy and Becca may have lost pounds and inches, but they have gained in confidence. And all those compliments from friends and family have encouraged them further.
All thanks to BodyShapers for the role they have played in their success. Jill put it like this, ‘BodyShapers has given me a fun and professional environment to exercise in and the team has supported me and worked with me every step of the way.’
For those who think that perhaps they don’t have time to exercise, busy Teresa says, ‘I can always fit in 30 minutes.’ There’s no need to add in journey times either. As Barbara points out, ‘The best thing is; it’s local.’
So, ladies, if you’d like the shape of things to come to be more curvaceous than cuddly, you know where to go.

Our latest round of applications closed in November and, seeing as the festive season was on the horizon, it was the perfect opportunity to help a long-standing Worthing organisation have an even merrier Christmas!
Guild Care’s Ashdown Centre provides a caring and safe
environment for children with a wide range of needs such as physical, developmental, educational, sensory, behavioural or psychological including Autistic Spectrum Conditions, Cerebral Palsy, Downs Syndrome and ADHD. The highly trained and experienced staff offer short breaks from caring for parents and carers of children aged 5-12 years, plus a whole programme of sessions during school holidays which include outings and activities. They also run a weekly Youth Club for teenagers aged 12-18 and sibling sessions for the brothers and sisters of children who attend Ashdown.
In 2012 the team will be launching Ashdown Extra, for young people aged 18-30 with a learning disability, which will mean that
some of the teenagers attending Ashdown will be able to stay on beyond Youth Club.
For many years, the team at the Ashdown Centre have planned Christmas parties for each of their age groups – with no additional funding towards them. For Christmas 2011, a Helping Hands cash award was made, to help towards the hiring of a DJ, craft materials to help make decorations, party food and presents for each of the ninety children attending.
...we hope everyone involved at the Ashdown Centre had a fantastic time!
Applications for another Helping Hands cash award will
be open in a short while – keep listening to Splash FM to find out more!
Helping Hands is the initiative set up last summer by Splash FM and Worthing based Saywell International, in order to help those local charities, groups and organisations who work with our children.

Dr Sarah has the last wordI’m not even going to pay lip-service to all the usual New Leaf, Resolutions and Self-improvement stuff that usually blights this dismal month. There’s loads of it about, and its boring.
For anyone- women mostly- expecting a baby this year, you may be interested to know that you can now request a caesarian section delivery for no better reason than you want one.
I feel as well placed as any to comment on this proposal as a doctor and a mother of 3. Think what you like of the obvious design flaws of the female genital tract, its what we’ve got. Birth is akin to trying to shove a pineapple up your nose and expecting it not to smart a little. I am not a member of the natural birth, compulsary breast-feeding gestapo but I did manage to screech my way through it three times with nothing but a bit of wood to bite on. I was keen to be in hospital, but that’s only because I have cream carpets and I didn’t want to get up an make dinner afterwards. I am not a superhero or a martyr and I certainly did not view the ‘birth process’ as a ‘beautiful’ event in itself. It was a means to an end. As long as I came out of it alive and relatively intact with a pink, squawking bundle, I considered it a success. But I am a doctor and I know what we are like. We can’t stand having nothing to do. We are bred and trained to medicalise.Give us an excuse to interfere and we’ll take it. I didn’t see why, as a low risk pregnancy I should need anything more than a stern midwife and a rap across the knuckles if I was flagging.
Some women have very good reasons for preferring the sunroof.
Some of these reasons are medical, others are not. Does it matter? Should you even need a reason, or is a wish enough?
I was never afraid of childbirth. I knew it would hurt, if not just how much. When the labour freight-train hit me I admit, I was staggered, outraged even by the incomprehensible, all-encompassing agony. But I was never frightened. I never thought anything was wrong. I just kept thinking nose/pineapple and got on with the job.
For me, any unnecessary surgery is undesirable, however ‘convenient’. I do also believe in a person’s right to choose, however ill-advised I personally consider their choice. The risks and benefits should all be thoroughly discussed. Safe surgery still carries more risk than no surgery.
After all, how bad could it have been, I did it 3 times. Either that or I’m a very slow learner!
PUSH! ITS 2012!
Dr Sarah trained in medicine at King’s College, London, and now works in the Emergency Department at Worthing Hospital.
