semester of the Master’s Program is to enable
our students to enter the job market at the
end of their studies at an executive level.
At this time, each student specializes according
to a chosen career path in order to graduate
with a background perfectly adapted to the
skill sets sought after by companies. The
professional profiles of our students are built
progressively around a series of increasingly
specialized academic periods which structure
the specialized education:
• A common core curriculum period shared by
all students within the same cohort
• The specialization period specific to each
Master Program
• A Research & Innovation Project conducted
at the end of the specialization semester
The specialization semester is unique to
each area of specialization and each curri-
culum is described under each program.

CAREER PLAN & SPEED DATING
• HELPING STUDENTS PREPARE THEIR
CAREER PLAN
The aim of this course is to help students
defi ne and implement their career plan.
It begins with a special week, during which
current students are coached by alumni to
defi ne their career plan. In addition to gene-
ral lectures on recruitment and developing
general job search skills (i.e., CV & cover
letter writing, fi nding & responding to ads,
excelling at interviewing, etc.), the career
paths of the alumni are very enriching
to the current students who can discover
different facets of their seniors’ work in
richly varied work environments. On this
occasion, EPITA alumni who have decided to
launch their own venture return to campus
to share their experience.
• SPEED DATING FOR INTERNSHIPS
Firms wishing to offer Fall internships
(September to January), deliver short
30-minutes talks to students prior to
meeting individually with interested
candidates in break-out rooms directly after
the event. The purpose of this week is to
encourage direct meetings between students
and companies, ensuring that contacts are
made in the most effi cient way. This week is
particularly designed for end users (available
for FALL intake only).
• SPEED DATING FOR JOBS
Students who have not been offered a job
by their internship company or who were
not interested by the offer they received, are
invited to a cocktail party where they can
meet over a dozen representatives of fi rms
bringing job vacancies. Students and fi rms
are encouraged to pursue their conversa-
tion beyond the Meet & Greet event in the
selected rooms reserved on campus for that
purpose. All companies are selected
according to students’ expectations and
the existing ties between the school and the
fi rms (available for Winter intake only).
CAREER SERVICESOVERVIEW
Since its creation in 1984, more than 5,600 students have graduated from EPITA and now
work in over 1,700 fi rms around the globe. The school’s aim has always been to train top-level
young people, giving them true professional skills that will make them rapidly operational. This
preparation for the corporate world implies innovative teaching methods, enriched with numerous
opportunities for contact with the professional environment.
Working with the faculty, the Career Services Director is responsible for listing needs as well as
preparing, coordinating and implementing companies’ actions to achieve these objectives.
COMPANIES@EPITA
FEMII, THE FORUM FOR COMPANIES IN THE ENGINEERING & IT SECTOR
Although we recommend that our students adopt an active, personal approach to the search for
internships, it is our responsibility to help them with this task. Consequently, each year, we organize
a forum bringing together companies that wish to meet our students and graduates.
In 2011, 67 major companies offered over 3500 positions to our school.
EPITA TECHNOLOGICAL CONFERENCE WEEKS
These weeks are scheduled twice yearly for our students and group conferences by companies.
The later come to share their experience of projects and emerging technologies, presenting
software applications and the practical applications of technologies. These lecture series, lasting
from 60 to 90 minutes each, represent added value for the students who gain insight into the latest
market trends from its main players.

CAMPUS LIFE
RESOURCES & PRE-DEPARTURE TIPS
ON CAMPUS
Located just outside Paris, EPITA shares its campus with other high-technology IONIS schools. On-campus, students have access to computer labs and
facilities 24/7. In addition to the computer labs set up for networking, 15 specialized laboratories have been created, adding up to a total of 4000sq. meters
dedicated to technical equipment. At the cutting edge of technology, EPITA always seeks ways to infuse the latest developments into its infrastructures.
The internet connection at the school runs 1Gbps, permitting 2,500 work stations to work simultaneously. In addition, the whole campus is Wi-Fi
connected, enabling students to use mobile devices anywhere. Voice over IP (VoIP) is also possible throughout the network.
CULTURAL INTEGRATION
We believe that international communication is a true competency that needs to be acquired through dedicated study. Therefore, our team has created a
week-long Cultural Integration Program led by our multicultural experts. The week is launched by a day of Orientation during which you not only meet
your classmates and gather informative program related information but also discover the campus and the breadth of the experience you are starting.
The week includes a series of workshops, French language crash-courses and cultural events all catering to cementing your fi rst immersion.
Furthermore, during the Fundamental Semester students attend our Getting Over the Cultural Shock seminar designed to insure students a stable
insertion within their new communities.
ON-CAMPUS CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS
Taking responsibilities within a club is no small job: EPITA give to its students a tool
kit and guides, training cycles for its members, a pedagogical team of support, etc.
Because students make schools, EPITA encourages creativity and spontaneity
of its student body. And it works!
The proof: a growth of over 30% of events per year and a healthy turnover
of activities...
To describe a few: while EpiWORLD is the on-campus international student
association, EpiBOOK recycles and gives back books to the community and
UNISSON mixes electronica music. Once on campus, which clubs or associations
will you get involved with?

“With 6 months of experience and a Bachelor’s Degree, Geovana Salvador, Bolivian student wanted to master in Software
Project Management. She decided to join the Software Engineering Program at EPITA. She speaks about her experience...
I wanted to focus on Software Project Management. While being at a French language institute in Bolivia, I came to know
about the prospects of going to Paris and studying in a Graduate School of Engineering. I got good grades in my undergra-
duate studies and thus quickly obtained a scholarship for this Master’s Program at EPITA.
I am the fi rst sponsored Bolivian student to be enrolled in an IT program in France. There is a great deal of depth and
breadth in the Software Engineering program at EPITA, with various interesting subjects including innovation and
change management. I am certain this course curriculum will provide any enthusiastic graduate with an excellent entry
into a career in Project Management. It is a real career booster!
The professors here are well experienced in their fi eld, and they brought real-life examples to the class and to our conver-
sations. Thanks to this practical training and my knowledge of French language, I easily found an interesting and well paid
internship in project management. I am very happy and looking forward to working as a project manager in this multinational company.”
Phuoc DAI NGUYEN

“After completing my Bachelor degree in Computer Science in
Vietnam, I was interested in doing a Master’s course in the fi eld of
computer security in an international environment. I came across
EPITA’s Graduate Engineering Program with specialization in
computer security through their website and immediately applied
for this program. As luck would have it, I got a scholarship from
my country (Vietnam) for this program. My aim is to obtain more
knowledge in the fi eld of computer security and use this knowle-
dge to serve my country. EPITA and France have so many tech-
nical advances to share with the rest of the world and I view
this International Program
as a means of distribu-
ting this knowledge. The
teachers at this institute are
very friendly and always
ready to help. Being in
Paris, communicating with
French people in their own
language is a challenging
but enriching experience. This program is the platform for a real
experience in an international and multicultural environment.”
