road work (NH & SH) on contract through Government of India. The Company has been allowed to apply the
stone mine for their captive use only. On this ground M/s Dilip Buildcon Ltd has applied the said area in
village –Atkadih, P.O.+P.S.- Bagodar, Dist.- Giridih, Jharkhand, having Lat. 24° 7'25.63"N To 24° 7'19.59"N
and long. 85°43'25.21"E To 85°43'22.79"E Topo sheet no- : 72H/12. Lessee/ Applicant, Sri Sunil Kumar Rai
(Sri Sunil Kumar Rai has been nominated as “Nominated Owner” by M/s Dilip Buildcon Ltd) has applied for
Mining Lease in the Office of D M O Giridih, to DC Giridih.
Applied area for Mining Lease is adjacent/along the village road. 10(Ten) meter width from the road will be left as safety barrier. Accordingly Mine plan has been prepared leaving ten (10) m barrier against the road. The lease area has been divided into two zones, zone ‘A’ & zone ‘B’. In zone ‘A’ mining activities will be carried out and area zone ‘B’ will be used for office, dump yard etc. The Applicant has approached for Mine Plan/ EC. As per recent directives from Director of Mines Jharkhand (Ref. The stone mine area located in Atkadih Mouza, Bagoder Post Office, Bagoder Police Station,
Giridih District in Jharkhand. The total mining lease area is 2.00 Acres/0.80 Ha. The mining will be
carried out in the mine lease area by adopting Mechanized Open Cast Mining.
The stone mine shall be developed by Mechanized Open Cast Mining method. The mineral are
hard and compact. So drilling or blasting is required. No blasting in OB is proposed.

With continuation of mining, other infrastructural developments will increase the socio-economic status of the local inhabitants.
As per EIA notification 2016 the project falls under Below 5 Hectares, comes under Category- B2, the proponent is submitting the proposal to get Clearance for production capacity of 114048 TPA/ 380.16 TPD of Boulder Stone from DEAC, DEIAA, in District for the purpose of grant of quarry lease.

METHOD OF MINING:
Strategy of Mining Operation:- Mining operation has been proposed to be mechnised open cast mining, Dumper- Shovel
combination with Wagon drilling and blasting.
No drilling & blasting is proposed during O.B. removal.
Drilling operation will be carried out in zone ‘A’ in stone rock body by compressed air Wagon drill (6 m depth
& 100 mm dia). After control blasting the blasted material will be loaded by 0.9/1.2 cum Excavator into
tippers (25/15Ton) and transported to surface of the M.L area. The O.B. Dump is proposed in south side of
the M.L. area (Zone ‘B’). (Ref plate no – 5 to 9)
The stone rock bench will be kept max.6 m height & 5m, 6m wide alternately to facilitate the movement of
the HEMM. The proposed final bench slope will be restricted to 45o. Due approval from D.G.M.S, The
mining operation will be carried out as per Rule -106 of MMR-1961 is proposed.
Mining operation is proposed in general shift only (8AM to 5 PM).The average number of working days in a year would be 300 days/yr only (excluding holidays), the production will slow down trend during monsoon period. Total 15 unskilled, semi-skilled & high skilled workers will be deployed by the lessee.

The boulder generated from the mine is generally various size of 1000 mm to 200 mm the bigger size boulders are manually broken to small size of 400 to 200 mm and it is fed to the ball mill crusher to small size of 50 mm to 5mm. in this process lot of dusts are generated and it is being arrested by providing proper water spray arrangement at suitable location.
6.2 RESIDENTIAL AREA (NON PROCESSING AREA).
Not applicable due to small activities.
6.3 GREEN BELT The common native plant species used to develop green belt in safety zone of all around the mine
lease boundary also in the barren area during conceptual plan period will be Sal, Gulmohar, Neem,
Bargad, Amaltas, Pipal, Teak, Arjuna, Kadamb, Ahhatwar etc.

The mine lease is Raity land and do not have habitation. Hence the mining activity does not involve
any displacement of human settlement. No public buildings, places, monuments etc exist within the
lease area or in the vicinity of the mine lease area. The mining operation will not disturb/ relocate
any village or need re-settlement. Thus no adverse impact is anticipated.
However, after 5 yrs plan period, backfilling may be started or that may be converted into water
reservoir if required. Estimation of area has not been done now. This will be planned later. Under
water pollution prevention plan, garland drain and retaining wall will be constructed all around the
dump, and pits. Sedimentation pond, unlined settling tank will be constructed near the boundary
area to provide a proper channel for water outflow. And secondary settling pond will be connected
to nearest water bodies.

Sub-project specific Environmental Management Plan (EMP) has been formulated with an intend to
set out action required to avoid or mitigate all impacts and the responsibility for taking each action.
Responsibility is made legally binding when actions are subsequently specified in contracts.
Environmental Monitoring Plan (EMoP) has been prepared to ensure that the intended
environmental mitigations are realized and these results in desired benefits to the target
