Introduction
EnviroChain is an online COC available for both Sample Generators and Laboratories. This
document discusses the web configuration for Laboratory users who are receiving EnviroChain
COC formats.
Creating an Account for EnviroChain
To create an account for EnviroChain,
1. Open any web browser and go to www.Promium.com
2. Select the EnviroChain option in the blue banner on the screen.
3. On the right hand side of the screen select Sign Up.
4. In the expanded menu, select Laboratories.
5. Create a user account.
Login
To login to EnviroChain as a laboratory user:
1. Open any browser and go to www.Promium.com
2. Select the EnviroChain option in the blue banner on the screen.
3. On the right hand side of the screen, select the EnviroChain Login.
4. When this menu expands, select Laboratory Users.
5. Login using your established login criteria.

Lab Dashboard
COCs The COC screen displays information about all submitted COCs.
On the COCs tab, you can:
View customer, client, or project details by clicking on the respective links in those
columns. When selected, a popup will display the field details. These details are not
editable.
When you click on the link in the CoC # column, you will be taken to a new area with
chain of custody details.
You can view shipping details and check delivery status by clicking on the link in the
Transit Method column.
To view the chain of custody, click in the View column.
If you want to see older chains of custody, you can click on the Last 30 Days dropdown
to change the specified filter constraints.

Contact Requests
From the Contact Requests box, you can:
View customer and company details by clicking on the respective links in those columns.
A popup will display the details, which are not editable.
If you want to see older contact requests, you can click on the Last 30 Days dropdown to
change the filter constraints.
When you click on the View link, a box will pop up showing you additional information
regarding the contact request.

My Data
The My Data screen provides information that has been entered into EnviroChain about the
facility.
Analysis Methods
From the Analysis Methods tab, you can import your lab’s analytical methods, add methods
manually, and delete methods. There is a template available for analytical method download.
Adding an Analytical Method
To import your lab’s analytical methods, you can either download the Excel template or update
your own file to match the template. Field restrictions are listed in Table 1, following.

Once your file is ready, click on the Browse button in the Import box, navigate to the file, and
then click Upload.
Manually add an Analytical Method
To add methods one at a time, click on the blue +Add a Method button.
In the popup, fill in all required information. Click Save to save the new method or Back to
return to the My Data screen without saving.

Edit, Copy, and Delete Existing Methods
You can also edit, copy, and delete existing methods by selecting the checkbox next to the
method you would like to modify and then selecting the appropriate button.

Rates & Discounts
Under the Rates & Discounts tab, you can set standard method rates for all of your analytical
methods, set increased rates for quicker turnaround times, and apply discounts on a company-
specific basis.

Method Standard Rates
This section allows the laboratory to set standard rates for each method listed.
To set standard rates:
1. Select the option ‘Runs’ if your lab runs the analytical method listed.
2. To set a standard rate, manually enter a value in the Standard Rate field that is associated
to a specific method.
3. Select Save.
TurnAround Time (TAT) Rates
To set turn around times (TAT) rates specific to the amount of days requested:
1. Select the Add icon.
2. In the available fields, specify the number of days for the TAT from the drop-down
menu.
3. Enter a value for the Rate (in %).
4. Select Save.

To Delete a TAT value, select the Delete icon.
Discounts
To set a company discount:
1. Select the Add icon
From the sub-screen that opens, select a company to provide the discount to

Shipping & Courier Options
Under the Shipping & Courier Options tab, you can select which shipping services you offer to
your clients as well as courier service availability.

Services Offered
From the Services Offered tab, you can select additional services offered by your lab, such as
courier services, free overnight shipping, free sample containers, etc. You can also add and
manage custom offerings. When you are finished, click the blue Save button at the bottom.
Certifications
Under Certifications, you can add certifications specific to your laboratory. You will need to
know the organization that issued the certification, the certification name or number, and the
expiration date. When you have finished adding certifications, click the blue Save button.

My Account
User Info
On the My Account page, you can update your user details (name, email, phone number, etc.);
update EDD preferences; and change your password.
Lab Branch DetailsIn the Lab Branch Detailssection of the User Info screen, , you can update
details specific to your laboratory, such as the lab’s address, website, shipping account numbers,
etc.

Contacts
The Contacts screen contains all contacts currently associated to a facility. The contacts here can
be added and edited.
Preferences/Privacy
This screen permits selection of the EDD preference type:
Password
This section allows users to re-set their password.
Note: Only the person logged into will appear in this section. Another users password cannot be
updated from this screen.
Billing Plan
The Billing Plan screen permits each facility to select their Plan type, and provide payment
information.

Billing/Usage History
The billing history screen summarizes the facility account’s COC activity. This screen tracks
how many COCs have been received in each facility by month, and the facility Billing
History.

Chain of Custody Details
Accessing Chain of Custody Details
From the Dashboard, find the chain of custody you would like to view in the Recent Activity
box. You may need to filter by date to find old CoCs.
Click on the hyperlink in the CoC # column.
Selecting the hyperlink will open a new screen that contains the following fields:
Lab Tab
The chain of custody details area defaults to the Lab tab, which contains your lab details and any
special handling instructions for the CoC. These fields are for information only and are not
editable.
Project Tab
The Project tab shows the client and project for the CoC. These fields are for information only
and are not editable.
Samples Tab
The Samples tab contains details about each sample, such as sample ID, date and time collected,
matrix, etc. These fields are for information only and are not editable.
Signature Tab
The Signature tab is where you can view the sampler signature and any records of who
relinquished the samples and to whom they released them. These fields are for information only
and are not editable.
Cooler Receipt Tab
The Cooler Receipt tab is where you electronically fill out the cooler receipt for the CoC. This
tab is discussed in further detail in the following section.

Shipping Tab
Under the Shipping tab, you can enter the date and time the shipment was received, the number
of coolers received, and if there were any non-conformances at login. The gray fields are not
editable.
When you are finished, click Save or Save & Next.
Packing Tab
Under the Packing tab, you will answer questions related to the packing of the sample shipment.
You can set all answers to Yes, No, or N/A by selecting the appropriate response in the first
dropdown and clicking the Reset button.
When you are finished, click Save or Save & Next.

Documentation Tab
Under the Documentation tab, you will note if there was a completed, signed CoC hard copy
with the cooler/package or an EnviroChain tracking number.
Containers Tab
In the Containers section, you will answer questions regarding the sample containers. All
responses can be set to Yes, No, or N/A via the initial dropdown. Simply select the appropriate
response, and click Reset.
When you are finished, click Save or Save & Next.

Signature Tab
The Signature tab is where the lab technician examining the shipment would enter his/her name
and sign to verify receipt and inspection.
When finished filling out all areas of the cooler receipt, click Finalize & Generate Cooler
Receipt Form to generate a PDF copy of the final cooler receipt form. If there were issues with
the samples, you can also click Next to initiate client resolution.
Client Resolution Tab
The Client Resolution tab is where you can add comments regarding the sample shipment and
send notification to the Sample Generator of any receipt issues. You can also initiate phone
contact with Test Break through this area.
Logout
To logout of EnviroChain, select Logout in the upper right hand corner.
