Footwear Technology Apprenticeship Program is offered by SHRDC in partnership with the Malaysian Footwear Manufacturers’ Association (MFMA).

Upon successful completion of training, participants will be offered Internship opportunity with MFMA member companies and potential employment post apprenticeship.

Successful participants will acquire the following skills:

Malaysian citizenStrong interest in shoe design, production and retailDegree or Diploma holders in any fieldNew graduates are encouraged to applyAble to attend full time (9 am – 5 pm, Monday to Friday) classroom training for 4 monthsAvailable for apprenticeship/on-job-training for 4 months, post classroom training.

Requirements:

Intake in 2019 : March / April4 months classroom training, followed by 4 months full time apprenticeship/on-the-job-trainingProfessional certification from MFMATraining program fully funded by Malaysian Government, no fees charged

Program details

Participants are taught to combine traditional skills of shoemaking with the latest methods and technology by master shoemakers and designers, at SHRDC Training Centre in Shah Alam.
