WiFi uses radio frequency to connect WiFi-enabled
computers and other digital devices to networks
at very fast speeds
Most of the schools/universities install WiFi
connections for educational purposes
HANDHELDS AND SMARTPHONES Handhelds offered the capabilities of personal
information management. Ex. Calendar, phone list,
notes, to-do list, address book, and the like.
Handheld devices are also known as Personal Digital
Assistants (PDA)
Through several advancements in Handheld devices,
Smartphones came into the picture.
Smartphones like the BlackBerry, Theo, Android
phones etc… offered smarter features.
MINI-LAPTOPS Mini laptops are also called netbooks.
These devices are very convenient features and
affordable price which makes it the gadget for
the students.
Mini Laptops usually include wireless Internet
Capabilities.
It is typically installed with Windows or Linux
operating system.
E-BOOKS Electronic Books are electronic versions of
books for PDA.
A single device can store many digital books
along with related instructional and reference
materials.
E-Books software typically has the capacity to
allow you to take digital notes on segments as
you read them
Some can play sound and audio enhancements
or read text aloud.
