Those of average to the top level of ability.
Those who have strengths in very specific areas as well as those who are
strong across all areas.
Students aged 16/17 at end of years 4/5 or grades10/11 Students who would like a good deal of structure and support
Students with a good level of English (IELTS 5+) but depends on subjects
Those who like their exams in small sessions over 2 years, with the
opportunity to re-sit.
The opportunity to really specialize if you want to or stay as general asyou wish. Pick and mix.
A huge number and variety of courses to choose from. The greatest choice
Can be mixed with other qualifications such as Pre U and BTEC.
Offered by the vast majority of schools and colleges, both private and statein the UK and in many schools around the world.

The IB...... Who does it suit?
Those of above average to the highest level of ability
Those who are relatively strong across all discipline areas ( incl. Languages,
Arts, Sciences)
Students with a high level of English (IELTS 5.5+)
Students aged 16/17 (end of Forms 4/5 or Grades 10/11) Those who perform best in intensive examination sessions at the end of the
2 year course
Those who do not want to specialise too much in any one area.
Those who want to pursue a purely IB programme. The IB is a very intenseand demanding course, so it is rarely possible to combine it with other
qualifications.
Offered by a minority of private schools and a small number of state schools
and colleges in the UK but available in quite a large number of schools
around the world.
