LANGWITH COLLEGE CAMPUS
UNIVERSITY OF YORK
New college campus providing accommodation and facilities
for 650 students.
The campus design is based on the arrangement of buildings enclosing four informal courtyards of varying sizes.
Landscape elements such as the sinuous path network, sustainable urban drainage swales and grass mounds help create passive and flexible green spaces within the courtyards and provide a connection with the surrounding landscape.
High quality materials and finishes further reinforce the link between individual buildings, cycle stores and social spaces to make this a successful, sustainable and interactive campus environment.
