Manifold Vent
How it works: How it works:
Electrolyte is Absorbed by the Glass Mat separators, making the AGM battery nonspillable.
Completely sealed, maintenance free battery! Never need to add water.
Electrolyte floods the cells.
The separators are not absorbent.
Manifold vent releases gas outside the battery, so water must be added periodically to maintain this type of battery.
Customer fills battery initially and must periodically remove plugs to check electrolyte level due to evaporation of water in the charging and discharging cycles of the battery.
There are two types of AGM batteries:C -activated: customer fills battery with pre-measured acid pack, then permanently seals it.Factory-Activated: battery is filled and permanently sealed at the factory

Features & benefits of different battery choices:
AGM A Glass Mat Technology
CB Series Technology
Conventional Flooded Technology
An absorbed glass mat (AGM) battery has the electrolyte absorbed in fiber-glass mat separators. After the battery is filled and sealed, AGM batteries do not require addition of electrolyte or water and vent less gas than flooded lead-acid batteries. The reduced venting is an advantage since they can be used in confined spaces.
Premium AGM batteries are BEST because: they have the slowest self discharge they have improved life-cycle performance they have extreme vibration resistance
Premium AGM -Factory Activated Premium AGM Factory-Activated batteries are identical to Premium AGM batteries except they are filled with electrolyte and sealed at the factory. Premium AGM-Factory Activated batteries are rated BEST: In convenience! This is the no-fill, no-hassle, non-spillable, AGM battery.
CB Series batteries are higher performing conventional batteries that require adding electrolyte.
CB Series batteries are rated BETTER because: they have special thin separators for improved cranking performance
GS Conventional batteries use patented polymion technology and advanced separator technology for faster, stronger starts.
GS conventional batteries are rated GOOD because: they are engineered to generate 30% more starting power than other conventional batteries as well as shorter charge time and superior charge retention
