TAK thermoplastic granules or sticks soften in hot water ( 160 F) stay moldable

for 5-10 minutes and are tough plastic once cooled.


Case of two implants together WD & ND


1 scoop of granules in hot water, white hard turns into clear moldable


Plastic mass moldable with 1 % shrinkage


Place soft mass onto teeth


Place BLP in correct position, relative to the teeth and the estimate root position


Repeat for the other implant


Adjust so the mesio-distal position is exactly as desired relative to the visible

tooth structures, and the estimated rootmorphology


Add material as needed. The softened material stays pliable for 5- 10 minutes


Reinforce as desired


Thermoplastic material will harden in 1 hour at room temperature or 5 minutes in

cold water


Material can be adjusted, while appreciating the thermoplastic nature
