TRF District Grants
• District applies once a year to TRF• All grants must follow TRF Mission• Requires substantial stewardship on the part of the
District• District must be qualified• Similar to District Simplified Grants• District creates the rules for club participation
– Club qualification (up to the district)– DDF given to clubs for allocation based on APF giving– Six Areas of Focus– Late Reports
Future Vision Update Slide 22
TRF District Grants
Rules Example• Grants must follow TRF Mission, preferably within the
six Areas of Focus• Preference for international projects in developing
countries• Club must be qualified• Up to $3,000 per club, club matches $ for $• $6,000 minimum project size• Use www.matchinggrants.org/district • Applications due: September 1, 2011
Future Vision Update Slide 23
TRF Global Grants
• Must follow TRF Mission • Must be in one of the Six Areas of
Focus• Sustainability must be clearly defined• International and Host clubs and
districts must be qualified• Funding from cash contributions, DDF,
TRF World Fund• $15,000 minimum grant from TRF
World Fund• Larger projects probably require clubs
working together
Future Vision Update Slide 24
How Will Clubs Work Together?
• Use existing partnerships/relationships• Utilize www.matchinggrants.org/district or
www.matchinggrants.org/global • Create “Friends of District 1111” committees
• Working with host DG to prioritize projects
• Clubs coming together for common good
• Larger projects with significant impact• Manages non-Foundation projects• Friendship Exchange
What Doesn’t Change
• Donating to The Rotary Foundation– TRF-Direct– EREY– Sustaining Members– Paul Harris Society– PolioPlus– Global Grants– Permanent Fund
• Contribution ReportsFuture Vision Update Slide 25
Some Things Don’t Change Much • Stewardship
– Late reports on Matching Grants• Fewer grants make late reports more critical• TRF will provide quarterly reports instead of semi-
annual– Reporting on District Grants
• Report to TRF that funds have been disbursed• Stewardship takes place at the District level• Annual auditing at the District required
