Digital Photo FramesWouldn't it be nice to take all of those digital

photos sitting on your hard drive or residing in various photo sharing sites and display them in your living room for all to see?

Of course, you could print them out, but there's a faster, more efficient, and environmentally friendly way to show off your shots.

Get yourself a digital photo frame.

Things to Consider Before Buying a Digital Picture FrameThere are many things to consider before making your purchase, including screen size, picture quality, ease of use, and media compatibility.

Page 4: Digital Photography Presentation2 Jan 2010

Different Photo Frame FeaturesThey offers different features and levels of

quality. Most come with remotes, which is definitely a

plus, since the on-frame controls aren't very convenient (plus they force you to get up from your chair).

Some include onboard memory so you can store images right on the frame

others offers multiple ways to transmit your photos:

via memory cards, via USB—even wirelessly.

Reviews of Ativa 8” Frame Will make the best of it... Pros: nice frame, connection friendly, fairly quick image loading, bright screen

Cons: only jpeg mjpeg and mp3 files accepted, cannot access menu functions with a computer, large vertical images can appear distorted

Rec'd. as a gift. This is my 2nd, Pandigital is the mfg. Pros: Nice frame and the unit is removable, accepts most types of flash cards and

USB / Bluetooth connections. Cons: Only reads JPEG images, MJPEG video, and MP3 audio, no other

formats. Large vertical images must be cropped & rotated for correct appearance before loading to the frame as the images can be distorted or will not appear in their entirety.

Images cannot be modified using the frame's menu. Cannot access menu functions while connected to a PC or Mac,

only through control pads on top of the unit, or by using the remote. The remote is unusable while connected to computer.

All frames cannot be set-up like this one, and a definite try-out of a name-brand frame should occur before a purchase is made.
