    PROJECTBIOMIMICRY DESIGN CHALLENGE

DESCRIPTIONThe Biomimicry Design Challenge allows us to rethink our current ideologies of water supply and filtration systems. We can enhance them to develop a more sustainable approach to use and preserve water.

We need to treat our large-scale urban buildings as intuitive, self-sustainingecosystems that filter, retain, distribute and release water. This model maximizes the usage of storm water while allocating its use to appropriate functions in the building. Many inspirations are derived from water organisms such as water tunicates and dolphins. Thisproposal incorporates the techniques used by these organisms to decrease our dependence on external sources of water.
