I am a true believer in the potential of a design to be iconic across time. Inspired by

the classic examples of furnitures. I tend to think of the combined power of aesthetics

and function as a driving force behind my work. In the long run, I see myself achieving

excellence in my own theories of design, and thereby, finding my path. Still, there is a lot

for me to learn and experience .

My journey as a student of Indian Institute of Crafts and Design has taught me a great

deal about the intricacies and the sensitivities related to Design in context of Indian Crafts.

It has taught me, what is the importance of behaviour, people, culture, mythologies,

religion and spirituality with the craft being practiced. It made me reliaze that design is asubjective process. Meaning , there is never a black or a white. It is all about what shade of

gray satisfies the given issue or a problem.

The motive of this excercise was to understand the dynamics of colour when it interacts with a certain form. The interaction of colour in the

foreground and the background completely gives the form a new meaning. The form was derived by manipulating a 4 by 4 circular grid. It was

important that the derived forms in individual circles should be completely composed by themselves as well as relate to each other in the

    whole composition.
