Why is there so much bad design?

Businesses underestimate the concept stage of their logo design

Small businesses often copy well known corporate logos

Corporate logos do not work for smaller businesses

Corporations like “Orange” have enormous advertising budgets

The small business needs to make the logo communicate

Here’s another example of a corporate design copy cat

These terrible logos are everywhere

They are NOT selling the business

It is poor visual communication

Here’s another small business communicating badly...

Let’s take another look at that...

At a quick glance, this logo is communicating negative ideas

The human brain processes images 60 thousand times faster than words

This logo suggests the wrong ideas...

So how can we avoid these design problems?

What should we spend time doing more of?

Answer: drafts, concepts, ideas

Get your ideas down on paper

The computer is used much later

Presenting provisional ideas

There will be no loss in resolution

Vector graphics can be made large enough for vehicles or billboards
