Christopher Clement-Davies currently runs his own consulting business as an independent
legal adviser, commercial consultant and investor. He is a qualified barrister and solicitor of
the High Court of England & Wales, and has had a distinguished career at the top of his
profession in the City of London for over 25 years. He has worked at 4 major international
law firms, based in the UK and the USA, and formed and led teams as a partner at three of
them. He was also a director and investment banker at the leading financial institution S.G.
Warburg (now UBS). He has specialised in the energy, infrastructure, regulatory and major
projects sectors throughout his career, acquiring in-depth knowledge and expertise in
virtually all transactional aspects of major projects. He is perhaps best known for his
expertise in PPPs. He has advised governments, IFIs, sponsors, lenders, contractors and
investors in these areas all over the world, in both emerging and developed markets, winning
widespread recognition for his achievements. These have included projects with an aggregate
value of some $75 billion, many of them innovative, high-profile and ‘ground-breaking’
developments in their sectors. He was educated at Oxford University, the University of
Westminster, and the Inns of Court School of Law (Middle Temple).
