To Whom It May Concern:
It is my pleasure to recommend Deborah Martin for employment with
your organization. Deborah was employed at HMR Architects from June
4, 2008 until March 17, 2011 as our Marketing Coordinator/Graphic
Designer while also providing administrative assistance. She is a very
motivated worker with the unique ability to handle any task that she is
given.
When Deborah joined our firm, we had a need to market our
architectural services to a broader audience. Deborah was extremely
proactive and created marketing brochures, postcards and a trade show
display, all of which generated a positive response. She was
instrumental in the creation of our website, working with the designer on
all aspects of the site. When we wanted to update information on our
website, Deborah asked if she could take a class so that she would be
able to make those changes herself. Not only was this more convenient
for us, it also saved the firm thousands of dollars.
Deborah was also responsible for arranging and compiling our
proposals. This required organization and attention to detail, as well as
the ability to perform under pressure with tight deadlines, all of which
she accomplished professionally. She taught herself the graphics
program Adobe InDesign and was able to streamline the look of our
project sheets, a critical element of the proposals.
Deborah is very personable and interacts well with staff, vendors and
clients alike. She was a valued member of our team, and I recommend
her without hesitation. If you need any additional information and
would like to speak to me further, please feel free to call. Thank you.
Sincerely,

Fire Control Tower No. 23, built 1942, was used for spotting and targeting enemy ships. It is the last free standing WWII Lookout Tower in NJ. Plans to preserve and open a restored tower to the public were developed by the Mid Atlantic Center for the Arts with assistance from HMR Architects who initially provided extensive historic research and recommendations for interpretation. HMR recently directed a full restoration that included extensive concrete rehabilitation, the insertion of new stairs and restoration of the millwork on the observation and day room levels.
Recipient of a 2009 Historic Preservation Award from the NJ Historic Preservation Office.
