1 PurposeThis configuration guide provides the information you need to set up the configuration of thisbuilding block manually.
If you do not want to configure manually and prefer an automated installation process using BCSets and other tools, refer to the installation guide of this building block.
This building block provides customizing settings needed for processing the Variant Configuration(D31).
2 Preparation
2.1 PrerequisitesBefore using this building block, you also need to install the following building blocks:

3 Configuration
3.1 Customizing
3.1.1 Define Characteristic Groups
Use
In this step you define a characteristic group for LSP. This will be a prerequisite for the
characteristics created later in this building block.
Procedure
1. To access this activity, choose:

3.1.2 Define Class Groups
Use
The characteristics used in the Variant Configuration are assigned to classes. In this step you willdefine theses classes.
Procedure
1. To access this activity, choose:

2. On the Change View Class Groups : Overviewscreen choose New Entries (F5).

3.1.3 Define Dependency Group
Use
The main item of the Variant Configuration ist the knowledge of dependencies. In this step youwill configure the group for the dependencies used for LSP.
Procedure
1. To access the activity use the following navigation:

3.2 MasterData
3.2.1 Define Industry Sector
Use
The Variant Configuration will work for LSP. This industry sector will be created in this step.
Procedure
1. To access this activity use the following navigation:

2. On the Change View Industry Sectors: Overviewscreen choose New Entries (F5).

Use
In this step the you will define the accont assignment. This is relevant for the transfer to CO.
Procedure
1. To access the activity use the following navigation:
