The Relationship between Learning, Teaching and Assessment
Learning-teaching-assessment Cycle
10
The assessment paper comprises tasks or activities to ensure that major aspects of learning and teaching are covered and facilitate integrative use of the language.
The activities are appropriately contextualised and related to learners’ experiences and prior knowledge.
Adequate use of different text types is considered.
Open-ended questions are set in the reading tasks to stimulate critical thinking and creativity.
Assessment mode is not confined to pen-and-paper only.
11
Points to note when designing an internal assessment paper
Where could I find funding and resources
to enhance English Language learning
and teaching?
Resources and Support
Where could I find e-learning resources to motivate students to use English inside
and outside classrooms?
12
How should I manage and deploy staff
effectively?
