Feeling with a smileClickJ'Blue'Months of planning, weeks of breaking heads, days of running around, hours of nerve breaking panic, minutes of
heated lingo and seconds of apprehensions thats allgoes into making the event of all the year called
'The Blues'.
Paint the city Blue, 'coz it's the glamour nightthe night that brings along a tradition of celebrating the
exceptional, the night that witnesses success, emotions, applause and the license to go wild.
On the eighth year of the 'Blues' we started with a promise, a promise to keep the journey on, to walk till the
roads end, and may be even beyondtowards our land of 'Infinity'.
For most new comers, the name stands contrary to what it promises, a blue night?...but for those who have
experienced it even once, would know that the color blue could be intoxicating like none other. Through the
years, Blues has become the most awaited event of the year at BLC, as everyone looks forward to this night of
nights. With a slew of serious and few back breaking hilariously rib tickling awards by the sensitizers in the
business of humor, the annual awards is no less than an extravagant gala of glitz, glamour, excitement and
entertainment.
Grand is how grand creates, and that stands true to the 'Blues 2011', unlike a very corporate banquet hall, meant for any corporate event, our venue this time was a little pepper minty, Polyester, a club to shake some
booties was our officially unofficial venue and the rest is history, for those present there, it is was more of a
family get together, sitting close to each other, compact, no suite to follow, no codes to conductthe moment
was the reunion of a huge family rather than a professional event.
Blues ho aur masti naa howell who said only Shahrukh and Saif could make a good compare couple, well at blue
lotus, we are a step forward, we don't believe in couple, we believe in the magic of being 'Three
some''Prathamesh, Raman aur Prateek'...According to our special secret correspondents, we had few
members in the audience who complained of laughter pain after the event The aliens (Prathamesh & Raman)
with our sweet and sleepy server (Prateek) did everything they could with their leg pulling act to turn thebeautiful looking ladies and the handsome gentlemen turn red, pink and blue . For those who survived from the
grip of the alienated jokes, were trapped in the madness of the music. From the robotic steps of Mouli to the
disco steps of Laltu, it all happened at Polyester
12:00 amthe lights went dull, music faded, the DJ exits, the food was over but the party still continued, this
time literally on the floor over a rampage of songs, old and newlyrics went crazy, rhythm followed no
rulesbut who cares, gane walo ko gane ka bahana chahiye.
New or old, known or unknown, at Blues we all met as if we were oneThe celebration in the real sense
did not end but with the beginning of Infinity, The journey has just begun...

"It was a great feeling when I was announced as a winner in this category.
It was really a proud moment for me. I dedicate the award to my entire
Network team as they made it possible. without team support, I wouldnt
have been able to achieve. Thanks to my team.
Also, as I get this award, my responsibilities have gone up and people will
start expecting more from me. I will try to meet their expectations. BlueRocks..

Transformation indeed and this time, everyone noticed. The Ravas
of Blue Lotus, showed that with hardwork and a lot of patience,
everything is possible. After all, managing two organizations is
not a child's play. The making of Brand Trust Report and Brix are
factors that transformed Sachin into a complete
professionalCheers to his success.

Little did I know, when I was given the Trust project that it would transform
my understanding and my definition of creativity. Trust was a big project
but more than that it was the first time I felt the need to excel beyond my
capabilities since the work behind the project was itself so intensive,
needless to say, I had to live by Mouli sir's expectations.
I believe that creativity has no limits and I would not call myself the bestcreative since I still have miles to go, there is lot I still have to explore, keep new
ideas coming and try out new challenges. As a new comer in Mustard, I feel
fortunate to work on a project like trust; it's an experience I would cherish
throughout.
Thank you to all who voted for me, thanks to my team without them it would never be possib
le and last but not the least Thank to Mouli sir for motivating me to do better by giving me this
award. Receiving this award is such an amazing honor. I always thought that my work will be
appreciated but this award is a milestone. It was an experience to remember. All my colleagues are
very friendly and professional. It is not my skills that made this possible. I wouldn't be here getting
this award without so many people. I'd like to thank everybody for always being there and
encouraging me. I couldn't have done it without you guys.
Thank you again and Have a great year head, till we meet again.
Debaditya Chaudhary
Winning Awards seems to be a habit for this flamboyant young man. Deba has
bagged the award for best entrepreneur for the third time in the lifetime of
the Blues. His exceptional business skills have been a major catalyst behind
the success of the entire organization.
Congrats and we are sure there's many more he would take along.
Brix Research
The hard work of Brix team that culminated into an achievement on the Blues Night
has been a gesture of how collective ideas can help a team progress in spite of varied
backgrounds & culture.
When we call it a team we mean Coming together, sharing together,
working together, and succeeding together.
Hence the definition of team for BRIX is TEAM = Together Everyone
Achieves More
The entire research process requires the team to achieve a target
collectively under a supervision of a competent leader.
A successful team beats with one heart, and for Brix Team our heart is our
leader, Mr. Sachin Bhosle, who keeps binding the interest of every member
and makes work fun.
Thank you

My Experience Of The 'blues
As a newcomer to Blue Lotus Communications Pvt. Ltd., I was informed that
there is a tradition of celebrating an awards night and to go with the
name of the organization it is termed as the BLUES. With a name
like that I had expected an annual awards night to be just that
making one feel even more bluesy . I presumed (!) that it may be a
stiff, formal get-together, where the best performers of the year wouldbe presented with awards. The rest of us were probably expected to cheer
and clap them wishing the not-so-lucky ones better luck next time. This
would probably be followed by cocktails and dinner with most of us heaving
a sigh of relief that the next one was 365 days ahead.
The venue for the BLUES was a surprise until the very last moment. When it
was announced that it would be at Poly Esther's, my anticipation levels were
raised several notches. Aha! At least the venue seemed less formal and since the
dress code was Flaunt Your Wardrobe, one could not help but notice the
underlying message that the evening may not be so boring after all. At least a discotheque promises to have
music so even if one did not succeed in breaking the ice with new colleagues, the music would help. Perhaps
there would be some taking to the floor. Being one who loves music and shaking a leg or two, I could feel my
pulses quicken. anticipation would let me down. The formal seating inside Poly Esther's did nothing to keep it on
even keel and I almost resigned myself to a long, dreary evening.
The evening began on a formal note (aghhhhhhh) and once Prateek, Prathamesh and Raman took over, there was
no looking back. The beautiful script brilliantly performed by the three, had even a newcomer like me in splits.
In its entire duration of almost an hour, I did not feel like it dragged, neither did the fun element abate. The
beauty of the entire script was that it interwove each of the employees not just in HO but from the branches as
well into a fabric that that spoke about the ethos of Blue Lotus. The leg pulling was done with humour that was
laced with camaraderie and an overall spirit of bonhomie. It cut across levels of employees right from the peons
to the CEO.
The awards were listed in a very professional manner. Almost a fortnight earlier, nominations for certaincategories were invited. Based on the number of nominations, three qualifiers were chosen and the finalist was
then drawn out from these three. While the awards were being given away, one could not but help notice that
those who won were obviously cheered and the ones who did not cheered with equal enthusiasm. There was no
bitterness or rancor at all. It was a feeling of having to do better next time. One common thought each winner
seemed to carry is that winning was just the beginning. It entailed a huge responsibility of performing better the
next year. It seemed to have raised their own benchmarks, which is a very fine sentiment to have.
I have often heard and read that an organization is the reflection of its CEO. N. Chandramouli CEO of Blue Lotus
Communications Pvt. Ltd. Or Mouli as he is fondly addressed by all his team members, I could observe, instills
the right amount of discipline and fun element within the organization. So, from being a stickler for right
dressing and punctuality, Mouli played the part of a wonderful host, mingling with all of us and especially makingwe newcomers feel that we are an integral part of the BLCL team. He literally let down his hair with all of us and
swung into the party mood well beyond midnight after he announced that the team may come in a little later on
Monday morning! What a night it waseven Sheela and Munni would have turned green with envy.

The Nike campaign for the world cup is doing the rounds pretty much
everywhere. Whether it has managed to establish the desired connect is
a matter left for speculation, and is a topic better reserved for
debates, discussions and dialogues at various marketing and
advertising seminars.
Faraway from the world of the World cup and its numerous campaigns
and marketing activities, a bunch of youngsters were left speechless.
Well, they had their hearts in their mouths.
While the world is pretty much used to the Monday morning blues, thisteam had a rather peculiar task the Sunday Evening Blues.
Organizing an event of a certain magnitude that reflects the entire spirit of the
Company is ideally just another job to him, and like just another job, he
entrusted the responsibility to his enigmatic team member, the last-minute.
They had all the time in the world about 48 hours and some little things to accomplish, like deciding the venue,
coming up with an anchor script,(approval time excluded) rehearsing, coming up with a dcor theme, designing
the backdrop, getting the lights, sound and projector in place
These thoughts that were breaking every speed limit in his brains braked suddenly, in sync with the cab he was
in. The youngster saw Bleed Blue stare at him from a hoarding. The situation he was in could not have been
captured more effectively.
Time left: 32 hours.
Time left: 19 hours.
The kids were being quite slack. It is being done was the only answer he got for every thing he asked. Being
the Business Head of this team, he had a lot of things to be accountable for. He took stock of the situation and
placed just one order at the venue 1:00 pm, Sunday.
Time: 2:30 pm, Sunday
Time: 4: 15 pm, Sunday
The team arrive, each with a more innovative excuse than the other. No time to take their case now, there is
always the Monday for that. A small pep talk and he got them into action.
The team worked furiously for the next 3 hours. Sweat flowed freely. Their hearts pumped blood which was
genetically different from what it was used to. They bled from within. They bled blue. And their enigmatic
team-mate last minute did not let them down.
She sat where she is paid to sit. She was staring at her laptop, oblivious to the fact that the screensaver had
emerged from its hibernation and was dancing where blues.docx should have been.
Ten million things, she had yelled into the phone. Twenty million things were yelled at her. She sat, trying to find
a place to seat her frail self amidst these 30 million things.
Call the printer. Take quotes. Get designs made. Speak to the guy who is in charge of the venues. Call the boss.
Take approvals. Go out to buy decoration material.
The number you are trying to reach is currently not available the husky voice of the IVR made her want to
bring the voice alive. And kill it instantly.
Anytime during that week, had she found the time to get injured, there are no prizes for guessing the colour of
her blood. The one word had seeped deep into her veins, coursing through them, perpetually active, filling her
little form with incredible energy levels.
He connected his i-phone to his workstation and waited patiently. He would be needed in action when every
other thing was finalized. Setting up the stage, doing up the venue and placing the all important insignia right in
the centre of the roof was his KRA. He was slightly in a panic mode, but shook himself from it, placing his trust,
like his colleague, on the enigmatic team member, Mr. Last Minute.
This was the 54th call she had made in the last 3 hours. . The venue has finally been zeroed in. A quick
assessment of the venue gave her a fair idea of what she needs to do. A refreshing cutting chai (adrak wala) later,
she worked on her fastest designs she had ever created in the last 5 years of her illustrious career.
The winners were yet to be made known to her. She had to get their names engraved in the trophy guy. The
trophy guy was nearly in tears.
He waited. Fuming, offsite over, hes at the venue. The client is here, right next to him, shes fuming even more.
The kids have disappointed him. The venue is perfect. It just has to be decked up and the lights and sound have
to be checked. And the script to be rehearsed. And the event begins in exactly four and a half hours. Where arethe kids??

First Blues...First Curry
First job, first office party and first *Happy Blues*. The server of my mindcontinues to go back to the very first award ceremony of my life. Had I
not been there, I would never know how entertaining aliens could be
and never could have watched a tortured server talk about his misery!
Thoroughly enjoyed the entire process of Blues. Right from defining
infinity to experiencing it and then beyond. What better than a much
needed opportunity to bond with Team Blue along with the dancing shoes.
Sooper dooper congratulations to the Blue winners! And an even more heart
felt wishes to the winners of the 'Alie-wood awards'. I shall soon catch hold of
the script-writers for not considering me in there ;-)
Heartiest condolences to those who missed it. Oh, did I mention about Sachins
ballroom dancing and Archana song? ;-) I'm sure there won't be another 'Infinity
and Beyond'
Kudos to all those who contributed. You sure have set the standards high!
Being a new entrant to the Blues family, I was overwhelmed by the warmth, I received at theBlues. Meeting most of my colleagues for the first time, my apprehensions of feeling out
of place were gone at the wink of an eye. The award ceremony was awesome and
the anchors rocked. The alie-wood awards helped me to know the
blue lotus team better and pointed out specific characteristics of the
individual that are innocent and often unnoticed in the daily work
pressures of our profession.
With everybody so enthusiastic and pepped up, could not have had a party
bigger and better than this..The informal atmosphere, energy and
warmth around, made me realize why we are all called ONE BIG FAMILY and Iam proud to say that I am a part of this unique group..
