Results from the first third• WP1: Multiband UWB
– literature survey has been started• WP2: Singleband UWB
– office (Tietotalo)• channel models ready

• WP3: Sensor networks– Niina’s work gives the first estimates for PHY
to be used – Energy efficient channel codes for sensor
networks • WP4: Co-existence
– UWB impact on WCDMA and GSM have been measured in co-operation with PULSERS-project
• UMTS• GSM900, GSM1800
• WP5: Capacity– work has been started– analytical work will be done in Finnish
Academy project (CASWI)– results will be reported to CUBS

• modification to the measurement system– VNA -> SPA in long range freq. domain sounder
