What is (ART) ?
• The Asian Red Cross and Red Crescent HIV/AIDS Network (ART)was established in 1994 as a task force to motivate NationalSocieties (NS) across Asia to actively engage in HIVprogramming.
• It succeeded in building capacity for HIV programming amongNS across the region, resulting in better planning, strongerlinkages between NS programs and national HIV strategicplans.
• Formally renamed as a network in 2003, this can be largelyattributed to the allegiance of the ART members themselves, together with the ongoing support of the Federation and PNS.
