Business Administration alumnus Blair Eversley
now works as a Management Services Technician
for the California Correctional Health Care Services
in Elk Grove. During his time at Columbia College,
Blair was a Student Ambassador and the ASCC
Treasurer. Blair is thankful for Mike, Cindy, and
Doralyn for helping him find his career path.

alumna Melanie Bruce
just accepted a job as a
Sourcer for Balance
Staffing in San Jose!
Melanie received her
degree in Psychology
from Columbia and
recently graduated
from San Jose State
University. While at
Columbia, Melanie
worked as a Student
Ambassador and could
not be more thankful for
Mike, Anneka, Cindy, and
Ramona for being such an
amazing support system.
Columbia College alumna Erika Anselmi
got hired at MACT Health Board as a
Human Resources Assistant after
attending the job fair in April! Erika got
her AS in Allied Health from Columbia
College and recently completed her BS in
Healthcare Administration at Grand
Canyon University. Erika shared, “This job
is exactly what I went to school for.”

Errin Bass has spent
the summer interning
with the Tuolumne
County Superior
Court. During his
internship, Errin
conducted most of
the research, analysis,
and writing for a
presentation to be
delivered by the CEO
of the Superior Court.
The internship gave
Errin invaluable
experience to help
him achieve his goal
of studying public
administration. Errin
is thankful for
Professor Thomas
Johnson for
announcing the
opportunity in class.

Columbia College student Melvin
Wignall recently landed an internship
as a GIS Analyst with the Twain Harte
Community Services District. Melvin
will be using the skills he learned from
his GIS micro credential to input water
meter information into GIS mapping
software. Melvin stated, “This wouldn't
have been possible without the
patience and support of Jeff Tolhurst."
Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
major Dan Burdick is now working at the
San Francisco Public Utilities Commission
at Hetch Hetchy as a GIS Technician. In
this role, Dan analyzes and organizes
private utility data using GIS. Dan is
thankful to Jeff Tolhurst and the TRiO
Department for helping him achieve this
momentous job opportunity.

Columbia College alumna Shasta Garcia has been
working her way up in the media world! In addition
to pursuing her BA in communications from
Sacramento State University, Shasta has spent the
last year working in media for TeamMy58/Estrella TV,
the Stockton Heat Hockey as an in-game host, and
she currently has an internship with KLOVE and
AIR1. After finishing her internship, Shasta will utilize
her radio experience to run a new radio show at Sac
State in the Fall (KSSU).
