Certification Goal
• The Continua Certification program provides a high level of assurance that a device displaying the Continua Certified Logo has been designed to meet the requirements of the Continua Design Guidelines and its underlying standards and specifications.
Certification Process

Prepare to Certify
Apply to Continua
Member completes product, studies the certification process,
and starts pre-testing using transport and Continua Test Tools.
When Member is ready, they submit their Continua
Application. Test Lab provides Testing Date to Member.
4Receive Certification MarkCertification received when all tests receive pass verdict, payment has been received,
and the legal documentation is signed.
3Test at Continua Lab
PAN Certification Testing begins at Test Lab (typically complete within a few days). Member
highly recommended to attend. HRN self-test is done by
Continua vendor.

Design GuidelinesThis document contains references to the standards and specifications that Continua selected for ensuring interoperability of devices. It also contains additional Design Guidelines for interoperability that further clarify these standards and specifications by reducing options in the underlying standard or specification or by adding a feature missing in the underlying standard or specification.
Test Suite Structure & Test Procedures (TSS&TP)The scope of these docs is the provision of test specifications for the interfaces of Continua technology. The objective is to provide a high probability of air interface interoperability between different devices.
Certification SpecificationsTechnical requirements and test plans for devices applying for certification. They contain information needed to properly apply for continua certification and should be reviewed in detail by vendors that plan to certify a product and by test labs carrying out the testing.

Testing laboratory
Most EUTs are end-products (mobile phone, laptop, health instrument, etc)
It’s not allowed to modify the HW/SW during testing
IOT Testing is required and Lab will choose typically 3 reference devices
Test Laboratory can help vendor send waiver to Continua in case of right implementation, but fail or inconclusive test cases verdict
Test Laboratory helps with the debugging of any testing technical issues
