2013 WISCONSIN CHRISTIAN WOMEN CONNECTION PARTNERS AND FRIENDS DAY
SEPTEMBER 21, 2013
CONNECTING CWC PARTNERS IN WISCONSIN
Volume 1, Issue 2
WI - CONNECTS
CWC Partners and Friends met Saturday, August 10 at the Rock
Springs Retreat Center to worship and fellowship together. State
Coordinator Genene Hibbler led the meeting in the log/fireplace
conference room. A packed crowd listened attentively as Minister
Hibbler first shared her fascinating testimony of how God has
used and protected in her career of police, homeland security,
southern librarian and other unique endeavors. She used power
point and videos of her mission trip to Uganda. The Child of
Promise program (COP) of the Church of God in Uganda is
helping over 700 children to have education, health and spiritual
nurture. They are grateful for your sponsorship of children. The WI CWC donated funds
for projects in Uganda. Following the meeting most ladies went to Reedsburg to lunch and
fellowship at the Pizza Ranch Restaurant.
Thanks to all that participated in this inspirational,
informational and encouraging event! We trust that all the
partners and friends enjoyed their trip to the North Woods!
God bless you all!

PRAYER RETREAT AND SALAD SUPPER
CWC AT RACINE FIRST CHURCH OF GOD. There were 16 attendees (including Genene Hibbler,
Wisconsin Christian Women Connection, Coordinator) at our Prayer Retreat and Salad Supper on Tuesday,
August 20, 2013 at the home of CWC Partner, Nancy Case. After enjoying an array of delicious salads,
beverages, and desserts, we focused on the CWC Annual Theme: FREEDOM! We explored the freedom we
can experience in Christ, despite our fears. We learned how our freedoms can hinder and/or draw us closer to
God. The study was followed by a time of prayer. The evening also included several games based on prayer
and a “Spiritual Birthday” Offering was taken.

RACINE, WI: FAITH CHOG LADIES WELCOMED INTO
FIRST CHOG'S CWC GROUP
The Women of Faith Church of God were disconnect from CWC. When the ladies from First CHOG heard
about this, they extended an invitation for the Women of Faith to become part of their CWC group. As of this
writing, seven ladies from Faith CHOG are now CWC Partners and are transitioning into the First CHOG's
CWC Group. This is a wonderful opportunity for women of these two churches to unite, connect and build
new friendships as they fellowship and plan together how to serve Christ as they seek to accomplish the goals
and mission of the National Christian Women Connection organization.

“When We All Get Together, What A Time, What A Time!”
Pastor Derrick Nash and the Silver Spring Church of God Family were
gracious hosts to the bi-annual Unity Service of the Wisconsin Assembly of the
Church of God. We were blessed by encouraging words from Pastor Derick
Bacon, West Baraboo Church of God, and we experienced God’s Anointing upon
the Wisconsin Assembly of the Church of God Unity Choir as they made their
debut. We are looking forward to the next Unity Service.
WISCONSIN FAMILY CAMP 2013
This year, I attended the Wisconsin Family Retreat at Rock Springs
(August 5-11, 2013) with my three grandchildren. It was the first time all
three were able to come with me. They were blessed as they attended
inspiring and challenging worship services, conferences and classes as
well as enjoying the pleasant weather, participating in various games,
fellowshipping, singing and much more. Lily, Rosie and I were among the
31 ladies that attended WI-CWC Partners and Friends Day at the Pizza
Ranch in Reedsburg, on Saturday, August 10, 2013.

AN UNSUNG HERO
CWC PARTNER, PEARL BILLINGSLEA was honored as an “Unsung Hero,“ at the 2013 Total
Woman Conference at Grace Fellowship Church in Milwaukee,
Wisconsin, on Sunday, August 18, 2013.
It was a pleasure to experience the spirit-filled worship service and
to witness how the planning team honored women from across the
State of Wisconsin. It was a special time for many of the ladies at
Cedar Hills Church as they honored our Dear Sister Pearl, for being a
woman of strength and character that goes about her day to day life
making a difference. She never asks for a recognition, appreciation
or a thank you. Sis. Pearl, thanks for all you do for Cedar Hills
Church, Priscilla’s Lost and Found, and Christian Women Connec-
tion. You are a living testimony of how your life has been trans-
formed by Christ.

A BLESSED FAMILY CAMP
Growing up across the road from our State Church Camp Ground I have always loved the place. We have access to it 24/7,
365, but I love it most of all during the first full week in August when my big church family comes to visit; the whole place is
filled with fellowship and passion for the Lord. This year, Pastor Tim (or Bamba) Lusitana came to speak for us at our daily
services and really connected with us. His theme for the week was “The Lord’s Prayer” and he found seven pieces that he
wanted to focus on and share with the congregation. The night that really stuck out to me was the night he spoke about
“Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.” Each night he had opened the altar for anyone who wanted to come down
so someone could pray with them, and a good number of the youth went down that night. I went with a friend for support,
but as I stood down there, I realized that I was also there for my own heart. There were things that I was holding on to,
bitter things, and that night in the tabernacle, God helped me let go of those things. He had spoken through Pastor Tim in
such a strong way that many of us stayed in the tabernacle, hugging, crying, and praying for one another. It is an experi-
ence I will not soon forget, and pray that I never do. The entire week was one to remember, and I am so blessed to have
been a part of it. I can’t wait until next year, and as Pastor Tim would say, “I love... CAMP!”

WELCOME NEW CWC PARTNERS!
MINISTERING TO WOMEN
I joined CWC a couple of years ago, when Joyce Grant approached me and asked if I
wanted to go to a retreat. Since that time, I have become more venturous in getting to
know more about the members of Crossroads and the sister churches. I find myself
telling other women of my past and and where it has led me today. I explain to wom-
en how I was able to get out of an abusive marriage, moving to an area where I knew
no one, find love again, finding a church home, and obtaining two college degrees.
In 2013, I became a Lifetime Partner of CWC and I am finding new ways to help my
sisters with activities from teaching computer skills, to taking some grocery shopping, and just being
there for a shoulder to lean on when needed.
The Lord has worked in my life in many ways, and the Lord can work in their lives as well as long as
they are willing to listen to what He says and go where He directs their lives.
