Augusta Terrace has 20 units: One Bedroom Units (maximum of two people) On-site communal area available to residents

COMMON GROUNDAugusta Terrace, Port Augusta Tenancies are provided on a long term basis,
with an initial 3 month probationary period and yearly renewals. Renewals will be subject to meeting tenancy obligations such as: Meeting NRAS income criteria Paying rent on time Maintaining their unit in clean and tidy condition with
no damage Respecting the peace and privacy of others and
ensuring no disruptive behaviour

Terrace is:
Low income single people or couples who are homeless or at risk of homelessness
Willingness to engage in a harm minimisation lifestyle, in relation to drug and alcohol use
People with disabilities who have adequate and ongoing support packages in place

SELECTION CRITERIA:
Must be: Homeless or at risk of homelessness A resident of South Australia and living in Port Augusta for at
least 3 months 18 years and over A single or a couple who meet the NRAS income criteria (see
next slide) Have the capacity to live in a secured high density cluster of
housing with on-site support Be willing to engage with a support person and work
towards independent living

National Rent Affordability Scheme (NRAS) Income Criteria:
Eligibility for a NRAS unit is income based, and this means the income must be below the amount set by the Australian Government:
In 2013 the income limit is:

Eligible tenant’s income must be equal or less than the initial income limit when they become a tenant of an NRAS dwelling. Income may increase up to 25% (the upper income limit) before their eligibility is affected.

Common Ground provides accommodation that is safe and secure with both sites using:
Continuous security monitoring and mobile patrols are in place to ensure the safety of the residents.
CCTV around the facility that is beamed continuously to the security patrol
The site is a secure area with Tenants controlling who can enter the premises.
