Favorite detail: Bride: My gown, which I designed, was gold lace with Swarovski Crystals. I also loved our wedding date, 7-7-17. The sevens could be lucky or biblical. Groom: Rain is supposed to bring good luck. Time will tell! Most unique was our wedding date. This is why we got married on Friday and not Saturday.
Favorite moment: Bride: The song that Nancy Munn sung with J. C. Gonzales. It was a song by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli, "The Prayer." She is one of my favorites and that song has beautiful words. Groom: I enjoyed the reception. Visiting with family and friends with good food and drinks and great music is hard to beat. The Band was exceptional.
Biggest challenge: Bride: My dress was too long, so my brother and husband had to help me hold it up. Thank goodness, not to many noticed. Groom: Beverly and I went up to light the unity candle and we almost forgot to blow out the other candles. The priest kept whispering to us, but we couldn’t understand. Finally he made a blowing sound and then we got it!
Funniest moment: Bride: Doug couldn’t get the ring completely on my finger. I ended up pushing it on myself. Groom: The preacher almost forgot to ask, "Who gives her hand in marriage?" I thought for a moment that she was going to marry her brother. Finally, one of the other preachers whispered to get rid of the brother! What a relief.
One piece of advice: Bride: Remember that you only get your wedding once. On the day of the wedding, forget about all the little details (someone else will take care of them) and just enjoy your day and your spouse. Everything else is second to that. Groom: Remember that your wedding day is all about the bride.
