We need to add two years to our basiceducation. Those who can afford pay up
to fourteen years of schooling beforeuniversity. Thus, their children are gettinginto the best universities and the best
jobs after graduation. I want at least 12years for our public school children to givethem an even chance at succeeding.

Aside from the development of 21st century coreskills, the extended high school program should
be packaged for the preparation of students forcareer and higher education. This is becausesecondary education is designed primarily toprovide the transition from school to work andfrom school to further learning.
