CAST: Zakir Hussain, Sunil Grover, Anjana Sukhani, Dipannita Sharma and Pankaj Tripathi

DIRECTION: Vishal MishraGENRE: ComedyDURATION: 2 hours 3 minutesSTORY: A top journalist gets the opportunity of his life as

he bags the first ever interview with a dreaded don. REVIEW: Arnab Ghosh (Sunil Grover) is a table-thumping,

loud-mouthed journalist modelled after a popular prime timenews anchor. His antics, though they generate ratings, fail toamuse the channel boss, who relegates him to a less importantslot as the host of a cooking show. Disturbed by the demotionand with a heavily pregnant wife (Anjana Sukhani), hedecides to go for the big kill – an interview with the dreadeddon D (Zakir Hussain). He lures the don out to grant him aninterview and accompanies a fashion writer (DipannitaSharma) and his two-man crew to Pakistan. The climax doestake you by surprise.

Zakir Hussain as D and Pankaj Tripathi who plays his side-kick Girdhari, perform brilliantly. Tripathi steals the showwith his spot-on comic timing. You wish he had a bigger role.

It could have been good film, but the undoing of Coffee WithD is its post-production. The film is let down by shoddy edit-ing and a bad dubbing job where entire sentences are mutedand out of sync. A story that has potential is ruined by poorexecution that distracts you from the plot.

Title: An Unsuitable BoyAuthor: Karan Johar with Poonam SaxenaPublisher: Penguin Books LtdPages: 352 Price: 699 INRReview: This much-anticipated memoir of filmmaker Karan

Johar has been creating waves on social media after chaptersdescribing his fallout with actress Kajol were leaked onTwitter -- and for candid talk about his sexual orientation.

But contrary to the initial reports as well as expectations,An Unsuitable Boy is much more than just the narrative of afallout. Honest, decisive and compelling, it lays bare the otherside of Bollywood's pomp and gaiety.

It's also brutally frank about Kajol. "I don't have a relation-ship with Kajol any more. We have had a fallout. Somethinghappened that disturbed me deeply which I will not talk aboutbecause it is something that I like to protect and I feel it wouldnot be fair to her or to me. After two-and-a-half decades,Kajol and I don't talk at all," he writes.

The problem was not so much with Kajol but with her hus-band Ajay Devgan, Johar says in the next para, without elab-orating. And when did this happen? Before the release ofKaran and Ajay's films Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Shivaay inOctober 2016. Not only does the filmmaker write extensivelyabout his sexual orientation, the time when he lost his virgin-ity and about his "two unrequited love situations", but thedark side of Bollywood -- its insecurities, jealousies -- also findsufficient mention.

Despite the controversies that are already doing rounds andthose that may crop up in the days to come, this is a signifi-cant memoir, opening doors to the troubled minds ofBollywood. More than anything else it tells us that beneaththose happy faces smiling and posing for paparazzis, lieoceans of sorrow, disappointments, heartbreaks.
