CODEX: ADEPTUS MECHANICUSThis opus uses the rules and wargear lists found in Codex: Adeptus Mechanicus. If a rule differs from the Codex, it will be clearly stated.
The points are intended for the model WITHOUT theequipment listed, you need to add the costs of thewargear you can find in the points value section of theAdeptus Mechanicus Codex.
FACTION KEYWORDS All models in this list have the IMPERIUM, ADEPTUS MECHANICUS, and <FORGE WORLD> keywords. All modelsin your Warband must share the same <FORGE WORLD>.
MODEL AVAILABILITYYou must adhere to the following model requirementswhen building your Warband:
● 1 Leader model● 1-20 Core models● 0-5 Special models
FORGE WORLD DOGMAFor the purposes of HoR do not use the Forge WorldDogmas by your Codex or any other supplement.Instead, refer to the Custom Forge World section ofthis Opus. Always treat your warband as battle-forgedand from the same forge world.
CANTICLES OF THE OMNISSIAHAll units in this opus have the Canticles of theOmnissiah special rule. For the purposes of HoR donot use the rules for Canticles from the Codex.Instead, refer to the Canticles of the Omnissiah rule onthe following page of this opus on how to implementit in game play.
TITAN GUARDFor the purposes of HoR, the Titan Guard rule hasbeen omitted from the Secutarii data-sheets. As aresult, Secutarii units can now benefit from forgeworld dogmas.
ALMA MATERModels with the TECH-PRIEST keyword can be taken asa special choice as well as a Leader choice. If taken asa Special choice, they do not gain the InspiringPresence ability, but they are still treated ascharacters.

Custom Forge World Dogmas“There are an untold number of Forge Worlds each with their own distinct histories and methods of militarization.
Even within a single Forge World, the level of diversity in the form of Exploration teams, Kill Clades, and Skitarii troopsis nothing short of staggering.”
Instead of selecting a Forge World Dogma from Codex Adeptus Mechanicus, or from another source, you can create your own Forge World and Forge World Dogmas. Your Forge World can be one selected from the canon or it can be one of your own creation. The name of your selected Forge World will invariably replace the Forge World keyword.
To generate your own Forge World Dogma select one of the primary traits and one of the secondary traits from the tables below and apply it to your warband.
Primary Traits DESCRIPTION
OmniscientDogmatides
When rolling for Canticles of the Omnissiah, roll two dice an apply both results. If a double is rolled, only that single canticle is applied.
Calibrated Defenders
Friendly models with this dogma hit on a roll of 5+ when firing Overwatch, instead of a 6.
Forge-born Zealots
Roll a die each time a friendly model with this dogma is destroyed or flees the battlefield. On a 6, return that model to 1 wound and it does not flee. Units with this dogma cannot Fall Back unless your Leader or a friendly TECH-PRIEST model are on the battlefield.
StellarAlloys
When making a Saving throw for a model with this dogma, treat an AP characteristic of -1 as an AP characteristic of 0.
Systematic Pursuers
If a unit with this dogma Advances, it can fire with Assault weapons as though it had Remained Stationary. In addition, if a unit with this trait Advanced, it treats all its Rapid Fire weapons as Assault weapons until the end of the turn.
CodifiedAggression
Re-roll wound rolls of 1 for models with this trait in the Fight phase.
Obfuscation Tech
Your opponent must subtract 1 from their hit rolls when shooting at units with this dogma if they are more than 12" away.
Galvanized Warriors
All ranged attacks from beyond 12” that hit your INFANTRY units reduce their strength characteristic by a value of 1.
ReactiveServos
Improve the AP characteristic of melee weapons equipped to models with this trait by 1 if they charged or were charged in the same turn
ReinforcedBionics
You can re-roll failed invulnerable saves granted by the Bionics and Advanced Bionics for models with this dogma. If you re-roll a saving throw granted by the Advanced Bionics rule, subtract 1 from the roll.
3

Add 6" to the range of the Broad-Spectrum Data Tethers ability of models with this dogma.
AcceleratedDynamos
Each time you make a hit roll of 5 or 6 for an attack made with an Arc weapon by a model withthis trait, that hit inflicts two wounds, rather than one. For the purpose of this trait, an Arc weapon is a weapon that has the word “Arc” in its name.
Nano Simulacrum At the start of each friendly turn, roll a die for each model that has lost any Wounds. On a 4+, that model regains a single lost Wound.

Stratagems
The Adeptus Mechanicus has access to many exclusive stratagems. You can choose to use a stratagem from bellow, or from ones found in the Heralds of Ruin rule book.
Actions Cost Description
TirelessMarch
1 CPUse this stratagem at the beginning of your movement phase. Target a friendly model in your warband; until the beginning of your next movement phase, that model and up to two more friendly <FORGE WORLD> models within 3” of it increase their movement speed by 3”.
NoosphericTelemetry
1 CPUse this stratagem at the start of any fight or shooting phase. Choose one model in your warband. That model and up to two additional friendly <FORGE WORLD> models within 3” may eliminate any hit penalties on them until the end of the phase.
AsymmetricThrall Channel
1 CPUse this stratagem at the start of your fight or shooting phase. Select a friendly SERVITOR model. That model may adopt the Ballistics or Weapons skill of a friendly <FORGE WORLD> model within 6” of it until the end of the phase.
Re-Route toRemain
1 CPUse this stratagem when a model on your team suffers a mortal wound. That model gains a 5+ save against all mortal wounds inflicted against it (including the one just inflicted) until the end of the phase.
Servo SkullRecon
1 CP
Use this stratagem at the start of your turn and choose one of the following:
• Ignore the effects of mortal wounds caused by a single terrain feature this turn (this does not include moral wounds caused by the Explodes ability).
• Roll to determine the nature of a mysterious building or objective.
• Draw and discard a Tactical objective card.
SpiritCapacitors
1 CPUse this stratagem at the beginning of your movement phase. Target one friendly SICARIAN model on the field; for the duration of that turn that model can advance and charge in the same turn.
OsthimosSurge
Protocol1 CP
Use this stratagem when a friendly model with a mag inverter shield declares, or is subject to a shove attack. When rolling off, the models strength is doubled. If your model wins the roll off, the enemy model is knocked back D6 inches before calculating any fall damage.
HomericMartyr
Protocol1 CP
Use this stratagem when a friendly model equipped with a galvanic caster loses its last wound. That model can fire all three of its weapon profiles, as if it were the shooting phase, at a single target. After resolving the attacks remove the model from the board.
SacrostaticOffering 1CP
Use this stratagem at the start of your shooting phase. Select a friendly Corpuscarii Electro-priest that hasn’t moved in the previous movement phase, and select a friendly model armed with an arc weapon that is within 3” of the Corpuscarii Electro-priest. Until the end ofthe shooting phase, the models arc weapons fire double the shots and improve its AP value by a value of 1.
7
ExothermicCharge 1 CP
Use this stratagem at the beginning of the charge phase. Select one FULGURITE model with a 3++ invulnerable save gained from the Siphoned Vigour ability. This model can charge units up to 18” away, and moves 6+2D6 when making a charge. At the end of the charge the selected model reduces its invulnerable save to 5++ (which can be increased again to 3++ through the Siphoned Vigour ability).
Skybomber 1 CP
At the start of your movement phase you can declare a vector strike with a friendly PTERAXII SKYSTALKER model. After selecting it’s movement destination you can select a point along thatroute where it can throw a grenade as if it was in the shooting phase (this does not count as the models shooting attack).
ThermovolticSacrifice 2 CP
Use this stratagem when a Fulgurite Electro-priest with a 3++ invulnerable save gained from the Siphoned Vigour rule has lost it’s last wound. Before removing the slain model select an enemy model within 3”, that model suffers D3 mortal wounds.
Dataspike 2 CPUse this stratagem at the beginning of the fight phase. Select a CHARACTER or SICARIAN model within engagement range of an enemy VEHICLE model. Resolve an attack against against the model; if the attack hits, the VEHICLE suffers 1d3 mortal wounds.
DoctrinaImperative 2 CP
Use this stratagem at the beginning of your turn. Select a SKITARII model in your warband, that model and all SKITARII models within 6” are affected by one of the following Imperatives of your choice till the end of the turn. If the selected SKITARII model has an enhanced data-tether or a broad spectrum data-tether, the range is increased to 9”.
• Protector Imperative : Add 1 to hit rolls for all shooting attacks
• Conqueror Imperative : Add 1 to hit rolls for all melee attacks
InvulnerableLogic 2 CP
Use this Stratagem when an enemy PSYKER manifests a psychic power within 24" of one or more of your non SERVITOR units. Roll a D6; on a 4+, that psychic power is resisted and its effects are negated. If your Warband has GRAIA as a forge-world this action costs 1 TP instead of 2.
OmniscopeIntercept 2 CP
Use this stratagem when an enemy model moves or appears within 12” of a Sicarian Infiltrator and choose one of the following actions:
• The Sicarian Infiltrator can forgo it’s next shooting phase to make an immediate out of turn shooting attack with it’s ranged weapons against the selected enemy model.
• The Sicarian Infiltrator can forgo it’s next movement and charge phase to make an out of turn move (the Sicarian Infiltrator cannot).
AncillaryOverride 3 CP
Use this Stratagem at the start of your turn. Choose a friendly model; that models ballistic skill and weapon skill are improved by a value of 2 (to a maximum of +2), their attack characteristic is increased by 2, and their leadership is increased to 10. At the start of your next turn roll a d6, on a 6 the units cognitive structure holds and nothing happens. On a 5, the model loses a wound, its attack and leadership characteristics returns to their original values, and their weapons skill and ballistics skills are set to 6+. On a roll of 4 or below the model is slain and removed from the battlefield. Repeat this roll every turn until the model has been removed from the battlefield.

SynapseCharge
5One use only. Once per battle, when an enemy model selects the bearer as a charge target, you can use the Synapse Charge. If you do, until the end of the phase, substract 2"from the charge distance of enemy models that select the bearer as a charge target.
IncenseGenerator
5 Your opponent must subtract 1 from all hit rolls for ranged weapons that target this model from a distance of 12” or greater.
MasterCraftedWeapon
5One weapon carried by a model with this item (chosen at the time the item is purchased) improves its AP by 1. Combi-weapons must purchase this upgrade separately for each component.
MechatronicOrgans
6 This model increases its maximum wounds by 1.
SacredUnguents
8 Once per Battle Round, you can re-roll one failed hit roll, wound roll, or armour saving throw.
Power SurgeAdapter
9Once per battle, after the model has fired with one of its ranged weapon, except a Grenade weapon, it can immediately attack once again using the same weapon. If they do so, that weapon can no longer be used until the end of the battle
++ Tech Priest Armoury ++
Grav Harness 7 The equipped model gains the FLY Keyword.
Lex-Hailer 8 Add 3” to the range of any aura abilities this model possesses (this does not count the Master of Machines ability).
Stasis Field 10
At the start of your turn, the bearer can deploy its Stasis Field. If it does so, they gain a 2+invulnerable save until the start of your next turn (important, otherwise this does nothingduring the enemy turn when you want it active). While their stasis field is deployed, the bearer cannot move, shoot, charge, or fight.

Grapple Rails 5This item cannot be taken with the Taser Lance or any twin linked weapons.
The equipped model gains the TRANSPORT keyword and the Open-topped ability. Furthermore the equipped model can transport 2 SKITARII or SECUTARII INFANTRY models.

26
++ Mechadendrites ++
The Adeptus Mechanicus has created many variants of the humble mechadendrite, considering them the apex oflimb modification. Unless otherwise stated, a model may never purchase any given mechadendrite more than once.
CombatMechadendrite
0
The bearer may purchase and equip an additional weapon from either the Pistol or Melee weapons lists that hits with a -1 to hit. If the weapon is a melee weapon it makes asingle additional attack per Fight phase on top of the models regular attacks.
TECH-PRIEST models may purchase this mechadendrite up to 2 times and gain access to theTech-priest Special weapons list, and the Tech-priest Melee weapons list, in addition to their own.
GrapplingMechadendrite
5 This model never counts vertical movement against its total move distance. In addition, this model gains +1 Strength when subject to a shove attack.
FlensingMechadendrite
6 Each time the bearer fights, they make two additional attacks at their own Strength, AP0, and D1. Subtract 1 from hit rolls made for those attacks.
Reflexus Mechadendrite
6
The bearer can throw one Grenade in each shooting phase even if it or another model already threw a Grenade that turn. In addition, each time the bearer becomes the target of an attack made with a Grenade weapon, roll a die. On a 5+, the attack is negated and the bearer can immediately make a shooting attack using that Grenade weapon profile, selecting the original attacker as the target of the attack.
Exploration Mechadendrite
8
Models equipped with this mechadendrite can hold objectives from 4" away. Furthermore, when an objective controlled by the equipped model is being contested, the equipped model remains in control of the objective, regardless of model proximity, orthe number models around the objective. In addition, if a model with an exploration mechadendrite captures an "Inscrutable Objective" (or any objective that has an elementof randomness) you may re-roll for the objective, but you must accept the re-roll.
AegisMechadendrite
8 The bearer gains a 4+ invulnerable save. The first time you make a roll of a 1 when making this invulnerable save, that invulnerable save is lost until the end of the battle.
MedicaeMechadendrite
10
At the end of your Movement phase, this model can heal one friendly <FORGE WORLD> model whose within 3” of it. That model regains 1 lost wound. Each model can only be healed once per turn. In addition, while a friendly <FORGE WORLD> model is within 3” of this model, each time a model in that unit would lose a wound, roll a dD6, on a 6 that wound is not lost.
Vivisection Hive 10This item occupies 2 mechadendrite slots.
Each time the bearer fights, they make 3+D6 additional attacks at their own Strength, AP0, and D1. Subtract 1 from hit rolls made for those attacks.
OpticalMechadendrite
12When firing its weapons the equipped model can measure and fire from a point up to 3" away horizontally from the model's base. Furthermore, it can re-roll a single hit roll during the shooting phase.
ScorpiusMechadendrite
12
This upgrade acts exactly like the ‘Combat Mechadendrite’ with the following additional effect: “when either the equipped model or enemy model falls back, the equipped model it may fire or strike once with the weapon equipped to this mechadendrite before any movement takes place”.
27
Weapons listed here cannot be taken by models unless explicitly stated on their data-sheet. Weapons with ‘Codex’ as the price must have their point costs taken from either ‘Codex: Adeptus Mechanicus’ or the latest errata/FAQ.

MODELING TIPS
Magos Destructor/Secutor/Lorarius (50mm base) : While the base for these units are the Tech-Priest Dominus and the TP Manipulus, these can be designed in any which way, with the only limit being that it must fit on a 50mm base and should ideally be comparable to its GW equivalent in terms of height (channel your inner John Blanche!).
Tech-priests (32mm base) : Same general advice as above, but limited to a 32”mm base. Several of the Chaos Cultist models have robed figures that, with a little converting, can be made to resemble a tech-priest. Slap some cogs over the chaos stars, hand them a power axe and you’re good to go! If you’re looking for a more swollen tech-priest use some of the robed stormcast eternals (the wizard guys) and repeat the previous steps. Ifyou’re lacking power packs with servo arms, kit bash together several skitarii packs with a dunecrawler servo arm, and some Ironstrider bits. Rumor also has it you can get some complete packs from Anvil Studios.
Combat Servitors (25mm base) / Battle Servitor (32mm base) : Take those chaos cultists you have lying around (particularity the melee ones) and kitbash them with your left over skitarii bits. A good idea is cutting the vanguard and cultist heads in half and swapping the tops and bottoms. If you got the Soul Wars starter set you could possibly do some Blanche/Dark Mechanicus styled servitor wraiths. Ghouls or zombies as model bases willalso do the trick.
Mechadendrites : If you go to the dollar store they usually sell very thin decorative wire which you can bundle into groups of 3 or 4, twist them together, and cut at your desired length to get a convincing enough and poseable mechadendrite for less than $2. Some people have recommended guitar strings but I cant imagine they’re very flexible; if you go this way make sure to use wire clippers and not your sprue cutters (they will mostlikely notch).
Electro-Priests (32mm base) : If you’re not a fan of the Electro-Priest models, Tzeentch Arcanite bodies with Skitarii Ranger or Sigmarine heads might do the trick for you. You might be hard pressed finding electroleech staves, consider proxying taser goads or something similar (the weapons profile is very similar to a power axe sothat might be a good solution for you).
Ironstriders (Large Oval Base) : If you can’t afford the Ironstrider kit, grab yourself a second hand scout sentinel off off E-Bay/Kijiji. Swap that guard head for an appropriate head and replace all of the aquilas with cogs of Mars. From there, add some Admech bits and convert the desired weapons. Taser lances can be made by chopping and sticking together taser goads (which you can get en masse from the sicarian kit or from Hoard O’ Bits). Las cannons and autocannons shouldn’t be that hard to source. Radium Jezzails can be made by chopping and sticking together two galvanic rifles (or a galvanic rifle and a radium carbine if you’re feeling creative)
Ironstrider Agimensor (Large Oval Base) : Use the Ironstrider kit (or scout sentinel if you’re on a budget) and attach extra antennas, dishes, and that sort of thing. The pointing hand or the data-tether or the omnispex bits from the Skitarii Rangers kit could give the model a proper commanding look. For the heavy stubber, you can either mount it where the cannons would usually go, or perhaps attach it to the servitors’ robotic arms.

• Complete conversion of the opus from 8th edition to 9th.• New point adjustments.• Reworked everything (almost not an exaggeration). If you have any questions or complaints contact me via
the Facebook group or Discord (User: Chronoshield).
DEV WORKSHOPThis section contains odds and ends that may make it into the next version of the opus, or should probably be axed but the dev has attachment issues. If you’re just looking to play or list build you can disregard the following content.

When the equipped model fails a leadership test, you may elect to pass the test, but the model’s Leadership is reduced by 1 for the remainder of the game. If the model’s Leadership is reduced to 0 by effect of this item, roll a D6: on a 2+ the model is slain and removed from the board.

This model does not suffer the penalty for moving and firing Heavy weapons, and cannot be forcibly moved by your opponent's action (either through an ability, a stratagem, or otherwise). When the model Advances, roll a D3 instead of a D6 when determining how far it moves.
