It takes a second to say “quality”, but years to prove it. Conference Organizing Bureau (COB) represents over 20 years of experience in superfluous quality in organizing professional events and conferences. Whatever the quality you address we surely deliver, because COB is the leading professional congress organizer of Egypt.

We supply the best destination management which we believe is vital for any event to blossom.

COB is the official partner for over 25 local and 20 international societies, simply

because we “believe” in excellence.

Today’s events industry, globally, is estimated to include some 6 to 7 billion regularly re-occurring events (including community festivals, parades, fairs, air shows, sporting events, carnivals, car shows, art shows, flower shows, corporate events, balloon rallies, First Nights, holiday events and more) large enough to require municipal support services, with an estimated combined economic impact that, if calculable, would be in the trillions of dollars, with combined attendances that touch virtually every life on the planet several times over.

Conferences and events are among the most successful and important tools available to communities, cities, states, regions, and countries to increase tourism, create powerful and memorable branding and imaging opportunities, encourage positive media coverage, effect economic impact, and enhance the quality of life for all those who live there. COB offers end-to-end solutions, products and services for the successful management and delivery of meetings and events.

We provide a quality meetings and events management service to associations, governments and corporate organizations.

We offer strategic support and creative implementation over a vast array of business events - as a PCO (Professional Conference and Exhibition Organizer), a DMC (Destination Management Company), a Housing Bureau, Event and Technical Production, Marketing, Multimedia Solutions, and a Special Events Company. Our scope includes conferences and exhibitions, corporate and special events, incentives, workshops, marketing campaigns, and symposia.

Foundation :

The Conference Organizing Bureau was formed in 1995 by Dr. Shahenda El-Hawary with a mission of ensuring that COB has resources to provide the medical sector a successful organization services for its events and congresses, which was a rare commodity in Egypt at that time. Dr. Shahenda has worked very hard over the years to continue raising the level of professionalism in our industry, along with enriching the level of recognition and awareness for COB’s packages and high standards of service for its clients.

At that point, Dr. Shahenda started this ambitious project armed only with minimum capital, her ambition, and only two dedicated employees to manage running the bureau. Now COB is a market leader in Egypt, with over 30 scheduled events on our annual calendar, hundreds of clients and business mates, a long list of successful events held by COB over 20 years of service, and over 170,000 attendants served by COB crew during these events.

Consulting Services:

Hosting a conference involves a wide range of tasks, for example, arranging a venue, putting together a budget, and setting up an administrative organization. Using our many years of experience in conference organizing, COB will draw up a detailed proposal tailored to your conference goals, and help you knowing what exactly the benchmarks are.

Ex: Publicity, preparations, budgeting, venue selection, organizational setup; fundraising and tax exemption mea-sures; schedule planning and management, on-site Preparations/operations/post-conference arrangements; minutes, financial reporting, etc.

Language support:

Our international conference organizers reflect positively on the host country with their outstanding language skills. Top-class language skills are crucial across all aspects of conference management, from day-to-day organizing to publications and signage. Naturally, our interpreters, translators, and bilingual assistants are skilled linguists, as are the conference organizers who manage them.

EX: Announcements, programs, invitations, minutes, proceedings, tape transcription, websites; simultaneous and con-secutive interpreting; masters of ceremonies, hospitality staff, reception/secretariat/operational staff, minutes-writ-ers, stenographers, etc.

Logistics Management:

COB offers a total package of logistics, equipment, and the manpower to operate them. Our professional operators and event coordinators provide comprehensive backup right from their initial involvement in pre-conference planning meet-ings, and up to the final analysis of meeting’s statistics.

Registration Management:

We can assist our clients with managing correspondence and registration processing. Our original computerized registration system ensures consistent management of the complex registration process, both pre-conference and on-site.

EX: Participant registration; confirmation of registration, fee payments, and accommodation arrangements; speaker registration; receipt and screening of papers, notification of accep-tance; information for accompanying persons; confirmation of event attendance; etc.

Printing & Product Services:

Conferences require a variety of documentation, beginning with the program of events, brochures, fliers, posters,

Registration lists, rooming lists, medical journals, event prints and newsletters and many other things. Translation between different languages also needs to be considered, along

with rules for terms of address and terminology. Our experienced teams (including design-ers, translators, quality-controllers, and content editors) and conference staff produce high-quality documentation to the standards that both local and overseas partici-pants expect, both in its content and its design.

EX: Guides, circulars, posters, pamphlets, letterheads, envelopes, programs, abstracts,presentation materials, invitations, nametags, nameplates, lists, minutes, proceedings, CD-ROMs, etc.

Onsite Management:

We set up a complete logistical structure to ensure that every aspect of a conference runs smoothly: in the venues for the opening and closing ceremonies and plenary sessions, at reception desks, in the meeting rooms where papers are delivered, at receptions and other events, and at exhibitions and poster presentations. Our highly experienced staff, on-site managers, and assistants at each venue make sure every participant’s needs are met.

EX: On-site managers, masters of ceremonies, off-stage announcers, receptionists, secretariat and hospitality staff, interpreters assigned to individuals or groups, ushers; logistics manual, order of proceedings, rehearsals, etc.

Other Services:

Hosting a conference involves a broad range of functions aside from the conference itself. COB effectively brings together a team of professionals from various fields that can provide high-level services to meet client’s every need, such as:
