Topic: Board game: Act Sustainably

Location: Classroom Duration: 50 min.

Material needed:
A3 paper, 7 bottle caps (4 colors), paper cup.
Aims:
To foster students’ awareness of environmental topics.
To encourage children recycle.
To teach students how long it takes various types of
garbage to decompose.
To help students understand that learning can be
achieved in a foreign language.
Develop and intensify skills like explaining and describing
pictures in a foreign language.
To help students cooperate, accept loss and compromise
Working procedure:
Download the attached “Act sustainably” board game.
Print it in A3 paper. One game per team (4 players)
Divide your class into teams of 4 players.
Teach the appropriate vocabulary.
Read and explain the attached instructions.
Play and enjoy the game!

Numbers of players: 2-4
You will need:
• 2-4 plastic or metal bottle caps for the players. 1 piece per player (different color).
• 3 plastic or metal bottle caps to shake.
• A paper cup.(Optional)
How to Play
• Put the player caps in the starting space.
• Put the 3 caps into the paper cup. Shake it and drop
the three caps. Count the ones that land face up, then
move that number of spaces. For instance, in the picture
on the right, you must move 1 space.
• Follow the symbols and the written instructions.
• The winner is the one to arrive first in the last space.
• Please note: He must cast the exact number of spaces
needed to get to the end!
