Wire Forms
Compression & Extension Springs
Tension Springs
Stamped metal parts…and more
Wire Forms
Can be made in stainless steel and ferrous metals
Different thicknesses ranges ran on a four slide our CNC wire former
Wire forms can be manufactured in a variety of shapes, with a common one being that of a rectangular clip
Found in devices like gauges, keyboards, and watches
These can be very high quantities typically around 1,000,000 pcs
Stamping
Stampings are made from strip steel, but are too large to be ran in a four slide. They are normally ran on a progressive die
Stampings are typically ran in large volume from 100,000 to 1,000,000 pieces
Compression & Extension SpringsCompression Springs…
Absorb a load by contracting along the length of their axis
Store energy when compacted
Known for ‘shock absorbers
You can find them in automobiles, tape decks, devices that aid the ejection process
Clean Seal makes a variety of compression springs in concave and convex configuration, along with different wire thicknesses. 25,000 pieces is a typical run

Torsion Springs
Types of torsion springs…
Helical Springs› Typically used to store energy and subsequently release it, to
absorb shock, or to maintain a force between contacting surfaces
› Uses: clothespins, ratchets, counterbalance mechanisms, and motor and pump assembly
Torsion Bar› Used in the suspension systems of most automobiles and
military vehicles
Double Torsion Springs› Made of two coil sections connected together. The two parts
each build up their own levels of torque, and the whole unit has a torque level double that of a regular torsion spring
Torsion Spring Data Information
Material…
Wire:
› Basic Drawn› Hard Drawn› Music › Oil Tempered› Chrome Sil.› Chrome Van.› Bril. Copper
Wire Size: .007-.187, except for ramp spring where the wire size can be up to .500
Ramp Torsion Spring
Used in animal trailers and in the RV Industry
These are generally made of stainless steel or chrome silicon wire
Typical run will be from 500 to 5,000 springs
Antenna Spring
Antenna springs are used for rebound applications
The spring is made to flex from side to side and return straight
A normal run will be around 20,000 pcs
Clock Spring, Spiral Torsion
Clock springs are basically torsion springs made out of flat spring steel
They are normally custom applications and ordered in smaller lots of 1,000 pcs
D-Ring
D-Rings are used in hanging applications and clip attachments. In this formation, a plate is screwed over middle to assemble it for end use
Half formed D-Rings are also available
A common run for these springs are between 20,000 and 150,000 pcs
Bail
Bail applications are similar to the d-ring
They are normally a high volume part and a normal order would be around 300,000 parts
Fishing Reel Bail Spring Example
Flat Spring
Flat springs are used in a wide variety of applications. Usually made of spring steel and can be any shape and/or size
Flat springs, brackets, clips, flat terminals, or any stamped and formed metal components are natural candidates for our fourslides
A common run is 50,000 pieces
Spring Clip
Clips are an example of a flat spring that we run on our slides
We need runs of at least 10,000 pieces to create a tool for these jobs
Wave Spring
Most wave springs are a single segment Multi and single segment available
Used where space may be an issue
Quantities of 1,000 to 20,000 pcs are common
