April 21 at Turkey Brook Park on Flanders Road, Budd Lake.

Go Go Power Wheels! Start your engines! The thrill of the race is something parents can share with their kids in the 3rd Annual Power Wheels Race Series held on four consecutive Thursdays starting May 10th at Turkey Brook Park Soccer Parking Lot. In the event of rain the races will be held the following Friday. Open to children ages 3 to 8 years old the race series will feature three courses: oval, straight-away and obstacle. All courses are age appropriate and drivers will be broken down into groups according to battery size (6v, 12v and 24v). Modifications are NOT PERMITTED – Stock cars only. Rev up your pistons and get your registration in now! There is a race entry fee of $25 per child (non-refundable). Register online at www.mountolivetownship.com/recreation. Magical Forests Overtake Turkey Brook Park Mount Olive Recreation Hosts the 2nd Annual Fairy & Pirate Festival
May, a month long celebrated for the arrival of spring, will bring an additional level of enchantment to the wee folk and swashbuckling buccaneers as the Mount Olive Recreation Department prepares to host the 2nd Annual Fairy & Pirate Festival on Saturday, May 19th. Thanks to presenting sponsors Bright Horizons Family Solutions and Cohen & Schwarz Dental celebrations will abound with face painting, pirate challenges, crafts, games, and dancing. The magic most certainly cometh! Attendees are encouraged to come in costume as flowers, wings, sparkles, eye patches and swords shall be plentiful. The festivities will get under way at 10:00am and continue into the midafternoon sun ending at 2:00pm. No registration is required. Beach Rules ☺ Personal conduct on the beach must ensure the safety of yourself and others! ☺ Parents are responsible for their children at all times.
(Due to lack of shelter, NO MINORS, under 18, may be left unattended)
☺ Beach and swim areas are open only when the lifeguard is on duty. ☺ Swim and boat only in specified areas. ☺ Personal Coast Guard Approved PFDs are allowed. Beach PFDs are for boating only. ☺ Non-swimmers must stay in shallow end. ☺ Parents can take 1 child at a time in the deep end Parent must stay within 1 arms length of the child. ☺ Minors must pass a deep end test prior to playing unaccompanied in the deep end without an adult. Deep End Tests will be offered daily at: 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm all days except FR (1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 6pm) ☺ No food or drink is allowed in the water. Dispose of trash properly, including recyclables ☺ Uncontrolled beach toys may be put on time out

2. Party during regular beach hours - $100 for 2 hours up for every 20 guests. Add-On Options:
A. Beach Staff Coordinated Activities - ½ hour for $30 per 20 children (2 staff to run games, etc.) B. Boats - $10/hr for 2 pedal boats and 2 sidewheelers $30 non-refundable deposit due at time of reservation.
Party and Beach rental prices include a discounted event admission, guests will receive a special party wristband. Host/Hostess will need to provide guest list to Beach Director. Each guest will need to check in at the gate.
The Beach Director or Recreation Supervisor will confirm your party dates, times and staffing needs.
Thunderstorm Policy According to NJ State Code: At the FIRST sign of thunder or lightning, all patrons must LEAVE the beach IMMEDIATELY. Seek safe shelter in your car. We will reopen 30 minutes after the last sign of the thunderstorm is over, when it is safe again.

Michael Guli is a certified PE and Health instructor with nine years experience. He is a graduate of Rowan University where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Exercise Science. In addition, he is a graduate of Florida Gulf Coast University and holds a Masters Degree in Elementary Education and Curriculum.From an early age, Mr. Guli enjoyed playing a variety of sports including baseball, soccer and tennis, and felt an increase in confidence and self esteem when he was involved in athletics. He is a tennis instructor, and has participated and coached many individual and team sports.
Michael Schwartz is a certified physical education teacher. He is a graduate of East Stroudsburg University. Mr. Schwartz started his career with the Mt. Olive Child Care and Learning Center working the before and aftercare program. He also taught Physical Education part time at Sandshore Elementary School before obtaining a full time position at Mountain View Elementary.Mr. Schwartz began focusing on athletic achievement from an early age and participated in the following sports: AAU Basketball, High School Basketball, and Baseball He continues to be involved in athletics by participating in Softball and Basketball.
