Congratulations to Elijah, Javan, Seb, Lois, Dylan, Daisy and Anais for their excellent presentation. A raffle was drawn to choose our winners who displayed their work in assembly.

Class Dojo Winners

Individual Winners: Nina with 62 Dojo Points! What can we say about Nina that has not already been said? She is consistently near the top of her class leaderboard, always ready to learn and engaged in every lesson and shows great kindness and empathy throughout the week. You are a deserved Dojo Champion!

Class Winner: Class 5 with 1,164 Dojo Points! A superb week for Class 5, but they only just won the competition with two other classes within 50 Dojo Points of them. Class 5 won the majority of their points for active listening this week, which has been noticeable as you walk past their classroom and they are quiet and focused. We are very proud of you. Keep it up!

St Jude’s Carol Service

Dear Parents and Carers, It is that time of the year where we celebrate the birth of Jesus

and think about the true meaning of Christmas. This year our service will be held on Wednesday 14th December at the Herne Hill Baptist Church at 9.30am. We will also be having a rehearsal on Tuesday 13th at 1.30pm. For both of these events

we will need volunteers to help walk the children over to the church. Please would you let your class teacher know if you are able to help on either of these days. Thank you Mr Sharp.

Volunteers Needed Weekly I am looking for a parent to volunteer on a trip to Ebony Horse Riding on 5th January and 9th February between 10.30 and 12.30. If you are available please let me know. Thank you very much!

Christmas parties

All class Christmas Parties will be held in the afternoon of…

Monday 19th December

This is an opportunity for your child’s class to celebrate Christmas together.

Each class will play traditional party games, do some dancing and share food together.

We would like each child to contribute

to the party food. Your child will bring a note home from their teacher detailing the type of food and amount we would like them to bring. (Eg: 6 satsumas). Please ensure your

child brings his/her contribution on the Monday morning.

(Please note :- Food will not be received

during the day via the school office)

Dear Parents and Carers As you know we are holding our Christmas Service at Herne Hill Baptist Church on Wednesday. We have an important rehearsal for the performance on Tuesday afternoon. We are still seeking willing volunteers to come and help to escort the children to and from the church. Volunteers would be walking down with us at 1.30, sitting through the rehearsal and then walking back, we would be back by 3.15. All volunteers will be entered into a prize draw to win a bottle of Christmas Fizz - just to get into the Christmas spirit! Please see your class teacher for a chance to win!! Thank you, Miss New

On Wednesday children enjoyed a delicious Christmas lunch, pulled Christmas Crackers and wore their wonderful Christmas jumpers!

sorts of different track and field events.

The atmosphere was exciting, meeting other

schools and racing against them. The teachers were all very proud of us .

We participated in track and field events. I

can’t wait until the results are out in January. By Nina Year 6 & Joseph in Year 5

Further improvement as St Jude's FC finish third in their group, with three wins!

The squad: Goalkeeper - Tom Ashton Defenders - Ezra Buckle and Ezra Duah Midfielders - Kyal Cresswell-Oellerich, Jay Ntoko, Luca Ajanaku and Ale Ajanaku Forwards - Joshua Watt and Gianluca Rizzoli

St Jude's FC took part in the Fulham Cup on Friday 2nd December at Ferndale Recreation Centre, Brixton. Our group opponents were Streatham Wells, Jubilee, Hill Mead, Paxton, St Andrew's A and St Andrew's B. The team are noticeably more confident and used to the surroundings and the requirements of playing on a large 6-a-side pitch. Our defence looked very solid and was expertly led by Ezra Duah, who made some hugely important and strong challenges throughout the tournament, including tackling two players at once and still coming away with the ball! Tom Ashton's distribution and handling becomes more assured with every tournament, and managed to keep two clean sheets as a result. Ezra Buckle was as determined and agile as ever and makes a strong partnership with Ezra Duah at the heart of the defence. Our flair players, Kyal and Luca, were unplayable at times and combined lovely touches with fierce shots on goal. Luca scored the goal of the tournament when, running away from goal and towards the corner flag, he turned and unleashed a stunning left foot drive across goal and into the opposite top corner. Kyal produced the classiest move of the tournament when stepping over the ball in one movement, making the defender trip over his own feet, then swerving the other way to set up a dangerous attack. Joshua Watt had another outstanding tournament and picked up four goals to be, once again, our leading goal scorer. He led by example as captain and was a positive role model throughout. Gianluca capped off an impressive debut with a goal in the final match, placing a classy right footed curler into the bottom left corner of the net. Ale and Jay were very impressive whenever they came on to the pitch and combined nicely down the right hand side against Paxton, in particular. Third in our group didn't qualify us for the semi-finals but is another step in the right direction for this squad. We are all very proud of them!

Results: St Jude's 1 - Hill Mead 2 St Jude's 1 - St Andrew's 'A' 0 St Jude's 0 - Streatham Wells 3 St Jude's 1 - Jubilee 2 St Jude's 3 - Paxton 0 St Jude's 3 - St Andrew's 'B' 2
