Advanced Placement – for each Course that qualifies as Advanced
Placement, does it fall Under an AP Subject Area:
MT – AP Math
SC – AP Science
OT – Other AP Courses, Foreign Language
Single Sex Academic Classes – select a subject area for any
single sex academic classes:
AG – Algebra or Geometry
MT - Other Math
SC - Science
EN – English/Reading/Language Arts
OT – Other Academic Subjects (History, Social Studies, Foreign
language)
(Note: If you offer any single sex classes in any building, they must be coded).

- From the Start Page, Left side menu, under Setup heading, click
on District
- On District Setup page, under Courses heading, click on:
Courses (Locate your course and click on the course name)
This will bring up the Edit Course District Information. Scroll to the bottom of the
page to the Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC) link. Click on the link.

This is where you will populate the information for the course.
Repeat for each applicable course and submit.

Sections: If all sections of a course are the same information as the course, this
step is not required (if course questions are answered the same for all sections of this
course, only do that course level or only the sections that are different.
If setup is required for the Section, select your school on the PowerSchool main page
School > Sections > Select Course/Section # and scroll to the bottom or the Civil
Rights Data Collection (CRDC) link.
Note: Most districts should NOT require this step.

Discipline Data
Discipline must be entered in the Incident Management field ( Log
Entries cannot be pulled)
- From the Start Page, on the left side menu, under the Functions
heading, click on Special Functions.
- On the Special Functions page, click on: Incident Management

Running the PowerSchool CRDC Report
Start Page > System Reports > State (reports tab)

Left mouse click and when the following popup window appears, Click on: Save File. The file will be saved in your Downloads.

When you go to your Downloads folder, click on the CRDC folder. This will
bring up the list of files for the report. You will select the PDF file that you
want to look at.

From the Home page of the CRDC Survey tool, the user sees:
- Data Entry options on the left side of the screen
- and File Upload on the right side.

a. Click on Add Files:

a. Select the file you want to upload, and click on: Open

To up loaded the file(s), click on:
- Start all updates to load all files - yellow
- Click on start update to update 1 file at time - pink
- Screen will show uploading status - green.

- Upload history now reflect the new uploads and their process status - yellow
- When the error checking is complete, the file status will be reflected in Upload History Section -
- Click on the link – pink will bring up the element submission table

1.) File Upload only works with A CSV file, which is the format the extracted files from PowerSchool.
2.) Error Resolution Report
a.) Can be downloaded
b.) District can modify to make corrections
c.) Corrected file can be uploaded to CRDC – same process as original extract
d.) Please Note: if you upload a new PowerSchool extract and haven’t made these corrections, the new extract will Overwrite the correct data.

Error Resolution report (screen shot not available):
- From the CRDC home page, there will be tabs across the top of the page.
- Click on the Reporting tab
- It will take you to the Reports page, where the 5th report down should be Error Resolution Report.
- Click on it to view.
