Christmas in Poland is, next to Easter, most solemnly celebrated festival. This
holiday is intimate, family, mostly spent with close people and its
tradition dates back to the old times. To the Christmas Eve supper everyone sits down after the nightfall, when we can see first star in the sky. We begin by sharing the wafer combined with
placing the wishes. This beautiful custom survived in Poland until the
present day.
Christmas tree should be dressed up along with your
family, because you can spend a wonderful time
together. On the Christmas tree we put glass
ornaments, traditional ornaments, colored lights, candies , chains, etc. On the Christmas Eve Santa
Claus brings wonderful gifts that leaves under the
Christmas tree.
Christmas table must be covered with a white tablecloth and a little hay
should be placed underneath . There ought to be one free seat for an
unexpected visitor.
