    PublishedonAstrologyonlineChiron is a celestial body discovered only in 1977, but that suddenly provoked remarkableinterest among astrologers, especially in English speaking countries, since it was full of themeaningsthatareinperfectsyntonywiththehistorical,socialandevolutiveperiodinwhichwelive.In fact Chiron was immediately characterised by the figure of the inner Master, by thatarchetypalimageoftheinnertherapistabletoleadusoutofapsychicsituationtootheronebyteachingus to learn fromexperience, fromwhatwenormallydoonadailybasis, andat thesame time, also learning to give particular importance and have faith in our intuitions, inparticulartheperceptionsthatseemtocomefromanotherdimension,butthatturnouttobeindispensabletounderstandwhatasbeendoneandaboveallwhatpathweshouldgodown.

    Chiron is a kind of leader with limited, obliging experiences, which at times inhibits karma,generally tiedtopreceding livesor toexperiences lived intheearlypartofchildhood, tothosefreerandfreeofconditioning,totallyindependentdecisionsofthepresentincarnation,whichareinsteadparticulartodharna.Inotherwordsit ispossibletosaythatChironhelpsushavethetypeofexperiences thatcanhelpus tochangeourperspectiveof things, tomodifyattitudes,conditioning, habits and lifestyles that prevent us from continuing our psychological, spiritualandtranspersonalgrowth.Itshouldberemembered,however,thatalongthispathofdevelopment,Chironneverforgetspastexperienceandgenerallyitmakesgooduseofthem,withoutneverthelessbeingsquashed,withoutlettingthemkeeponconditioningourdecisions,andtryingtoovercomeallattitudesthatresult in repeatingmodels learnt inourpast livesand that inevitably tend to strongly imposethemselvesonusagainwiththeweightofacertainhabitandfamiliaritythathasbeenacquiredduringseveralexistences.

    Butatakarmicevolutive levelChironalsohasaveryprofoundmeaning forwhatregardsouraffectivelife.Infactitprovidesindicationstousonourmostprofoundwounds,onwhatisthebiggestcauseofoursufferinginourrelationshipwithsomeoneelse.Thepositionofthe house on which it falls provides us with quite precise indications about the affectiveimprinting that we bring with us and everything that can be particular about interpersonalrelations.ItisnotbychancethatifChirondominatesoneoffourcornersofthesky,andifspecificallycloseto the Ascendant or of the Middle Sky, a person can become a kind of healer, a shaman,therapist,anythingthatregardsbeingable tohelpothersandwhichalsoendsupbecomingaway of also caring for himself/herself, away to alleviate ones ownwounds, that sense of anemotionalgapthathasbeeninheritedfrompreviouslivesorfromsomeshortcomingsinaffectioninearlychildhood.

    Chironcanthusbecomeourmasterandhealerforakindofinnernecessity,acallthatjoinsusat themostancestral levelsofourunconscious,ashappens forshamans,andthat isdifficult,especiallyintheinitialphase,tobeabletofullyunderstandandespeciallytodefineinpracticalterms.Moreover, it is not by chance that Chiron is dominant in the natal chart of those who areresponsible for professions that imply a relationship of helping, of persons who decide to putthemselvesat theserviceofothers, theelaborationof thepain that theyhave feltduringaninitiatory part of their lives thatmaybe the result of a personal analysis or training in someparticular"alternative"subjects.

    ButtrueChironteachingistiedintheworldofemotionsanditconsistsintheabilitytofindabridge between sweetness and determination, between romance and practicability, betweendreamandreality. InotherwordsChironcanteachus to liveouremotionswithserenityandconsciousnessandtoovercomeallconditioningsthatpreventusfrombeingourselves,ofbeingabsoluteprotagonistsofourownaffectivityandnotreiteratingrelationalmodelsinheritedfrompastthatdonotmainlybelongtotheexistenceofournewpersonality.
